If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Great afternoon! Great Show! The way the parking was set up, not so great. We were seperated all over the place. It was great seeing everybody though!!!!
Also, did anyone recognize the gentleman, w/the hat, sitting, fiirst row, center seat, right ifo JB. He looked familiar but I can't place the face. He was in the parking lot, right by the venue on our way in, singing & playing the guitar.

Yea, the parking sucked, to an extent, but I didn't think it was that bad, but I think most of the people I was hanging out with were right there anyway, but that didn't take anything away from the show....Tropic_Al wrote:Great afternoon! here's one for discussion.....buy lawn seats...50.00 ( guess) get upgraded to 150.00 (+/- with fees) tickets....and they were great seats...Live Nation was going around the parking lot asking if you had lawn tickets....and if you did you could exchange for Pavilion seating......i guess they over sold the lawn!!...also is that fair to the people who paid the 150.00??...just a question that i thought i'd toss out there to see what people thought of that!!!...i'm sure the lawn people thought it was great!!

I think that falls under "Let the buyer beware." I don't know how fair or not it is to the people who paid full price, because it's not like anyone thought that it would be a possibility. I could see people getting upset about it, but if it bothers them that much, then next year they can buy lawn seats and hope they get lucky.TommyBahama wrote:here's one for discussion.....buy lawn seats...50.00 ( guess) get upgraded to 150.00 (+/- with fees) tickets....and they were great seats...Live Nation was going around the parking lot asking if you had lawn tickets....and if you did you could exchange for Pavilion seating......i guess they over sold the lawn!!...also is that fair to the people who paid the 150.00??...just a question that i thought i'd toss out there to see what people thought of that!!!...i'm sure the lawn people thought it was great!!

Re: Who's Going to Mansfield on Thursday 6/25/09?
i had a feeling they did when the released more tickets for the lawn...i've never seen that happen...those tickets are usually gone the day they go on sale.......i just thought it was strange....i guess if i was the guy who bought a pretty great ticket( section 5-6-7) and was about 5-6 rows up....and people that got upgraded ...ended up closer...then i guess i'd be a bit upset....but as you said ..you never know!!popcornjack wrote:I think that falls under "Let the buyer beware." And with those crap uncovered seats, I forgot just how small that lawn is now. I'm sure they oversold it.

Re: Who's Going to Mansfield on Thursday 6/25/09?
maybe they did that on purpose. They weren't selling the good seats, but they knew they'd sell more lawn seats, so they released them, knowing that they then planned to upgrade people that day, so instead of getting nothing for the premium seats, they at least got something.TommyBahama wrote:i had a feeling they did when the released more tickets for the lawn...i've never seen that happen...those tickets are usually gone the day they go on sale.......i just thought it was strange....i guess if i was the guy who bought a pretty great ticket( section 5-6-7) and was about 5-6 rows up....and people that got upgraded ...ended up closer...then i guess i'd be a bit upset....but as you said ..you never know!!popcornjack wrote:I think that falls under "Let the buyer beware." that's my guess....i saw a few of the livenation people out in the lot...they had stacks of tickets....not just a few!!popcornjack wrote:maybe they did that on purpose. Did they upgrade the lawn to uncovered pavilion, or covered? Because if they upgraded to sections 1, 2, or 3 and I had uncovered pavilion, I'd be p*ssed!TommyBahama wrote:thats my guess....i saw a few of the livenation people out in the lot...they had stacks of tickets....not just a few!!popcornjack wrote:maybe they did that on purpose. I figured it was a case of wanting/needing to make the seats look full, to at least visually cover the fact that it wasn't sold out. Besides that, if all the tickets are gone (even if they're given away) they can call it a sell out....
I don't remember them doing this Saturday....
