Please explain the difference between a, "publicity hound," and an, "attention whore."
For now, the administration isn't talking about bank nationalization. That topic attracted more attention Sunday when South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham mentioned the possibility on TV.
"We will do what we need to do, but our long-term goal is to have a strong private sector banking and financial system," Axelrod said Sunday.
A publicity hound like Schumer wants his name in the paper and his mug on TV all the time. Attention whores don't necessarily have to be in the newspaper or on TV, they just need attention from everyone around them.

So with Schumer you can use the "slash:" publicity hound/attention whore

I was thinking more along the lines of publicity hound/attention whore/putz-head/a$$hole/socialist-commie pinko BA$TARD.

Now I REALLY know why I don't like the guy.
Trouble is the people that don't like him, don't live where they can vote against him.
Meanwhile he keeps getting re-elected and doing what he can aganst people that don't like or support him.

YEP!
You could take out Chuck-the-putz's name and add that of Princess Pelosi, Prince Harry, Teddy-the-red-nosed-Senator, Chris Dood, Barney-my-boy-lollipop-Frank, or the two bimbos from Maine, and make the same statement.

Me thinks it would be more cost effective, both to the taxpayer and our nation, not to mention our national debt, to buy them all an airplane, and let them go somehwere else, a nice tropical island, like that island in the show "Lost". Hopefully they would never return and remain lost. The plane would be insured and our country would make money and the people would benefit.
Say, if poll is correct, 41-14, opposed to Obama's stimulus plan. That is very close to a 4-1 against the plan. With all of those that supported and wanted him elected, I would expect to see a much different result in this poll.
Where are all of the Obama supporters that voted for him? Are they against this plan to?

I'm sure they're still wetting their pants from the inaugural speech.

Maybe they are busy eating crow and finally realize they have been had and what they have forced upon our nation??? Could they be out spending their "stimulus" checks and have no time to post? Maybe out looking for the "change" that was promised?
Just wait, reading the posts I saw term limits and bank nationalization mentioned. I am willing to bet that those are two things that will become even worse in the next four years. They will try to nationalize as much as they can, possibly to the point of no return. the next thing they need to do is somehow fix the future elections so we can't get there a$$e$ out the next time around. They are going for broke with with all the liberal policies they are enacting so they have to know there will probably be a bunch of them who don't get reelected. They have to fix it some how so that we can't remove them. I'm sure theres someone right now behind a closed door somewhere trying to figure out how to pull this off. Perhaps an executive order in a time of crisis? This whole situation is just getting scary. I heard today they basically crippled the atv/off road motorcyle industry by banning the use and sale of bikes that contain lead, I guess there's a fear that kids are going to lick there motorcycles and get sick. Great thing to happen when the economy is already in the dumps.

Next thing you know someone's going to get mad over chemicals used in high school labs because if ingested can cause problems. [which I think it's a no brainer if you have to wear gloves to work with them]
God bless the BN crew. I've been getting chewed up on my car forum for pointing out calmly and gently that the buttload of cash they just laid out was a total scam. Anything short of complete an total worship of the great Obama and I'm labeled a hater. Despite mentions of 2 billion for "Science", 55 Million for Pelosi's mice, unanimous vote for 48 hours to read the bill ignored, etc... still I'm just being nasty.
sniff... I love you guys... sniff.

So why did Obama have to go to Colorado to sign this taxpayer rape legislation? The taxpayers are getting raped for $787,000,000,000.00 USD. Meanwhile how much was spent on the Presidential Jet and assorted required security and other personnel to travel there? Not to mention "greenhouse" gases.
To paraphrase what was said elsewhere, "HELLFREAKINGNO!!!" Obama is off to a very good start for backing up data of people that opposed him. Obama is not a/the Messiah. Now all of us are going to have to pay and pay heavily for many years just for this one piece of legislation. Just think what debt he is capable of creating over the next 4 years.
Again those that supported him are remaining silent...and out voted in this poll.

As one of those who supported him, and still happily support him, I admit to not understanding enough about economics to feel qualified to comment on this. President Obama will do things I agree with and do others where he and I differ; I expect and accept that. Is this plan perfect--certainly not, and yes, there are some things in it that probably do not belong in a stimulus plan, but I do support the concept, while admitting to not entirely understanding the fine print.

but this is the bitter republican thread
I'll be honest I don't know a lot about this either nor really care (sittin' glued to Beck, Hannity and Rush aint my bag) but I'm wondering what the armchair politician's stimulus plan would be.

I'm personally sick and tired of the damn blanket insults that many of us faced during the election. Those who were throwing the insults knew exactly whose feelings they were hurting and who they were offending and didn't give a rat's a$$.
Sounds to me like Sam just wants someone to start shiat with.
Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
