It would be a disaster. He doesn't have the range for it no matter what key he put it in. Peter Mayer could do an excellent job with it though.

There are alot of things Jimmy could and does cover very well. Like Mexico, Window of the World, Tree Top Flyer, and of course Southern Cross. Glory Days, Trippin Billies, On the Road again ( though that should be easy for him!) not so good.

Now I have "Thunder Island" stuck in MY head too! Thanks!!

As for Buffett doing another cover song, I'd kind of like to hear him cover John Prine's "Quit Hollerin' At Me".

Buried deep in my iPod, under "Boat Songs", I have "Thunder Island" and Jay Fergeson's other hit "Shakedown Cruise".
