Here's one for ya, I love Steak Tartare so I know I have no room to talk.
I grew up on it. All of kids got all excited when this was served. No lie. I haven't had
it for years though. Just a little squimish about it now. I miss it.
I love Steak Tartare also. The last time I had it was back in the 80's at the Four Seasons in NYC.
You have to REALLY trust the place thats serving it These days I'd be a tad squeamish too especially since you don't want to go on vacation and get sick. I despise liver of any kind but some foie gras on a fresh baguette is yummy!
Once GW is over I'll put a ticker on for St Barths

I can't believe all day has gone by and no mention of the fact that Utley, Doyle Grisham, Fingers, and TC are scheduled to be on the Criuse Nov. 7.....Maybe they are planning on getting on at SXM the day after the SBH concert...Start googling Johnny Halliday because I heard it was HIS idea for the tribute concert....Anyone still out there???(come on ScarlettB and Macphin).......Plus........Maurius's birthday is June2 or 3..and Jimmy looks to be free up till the 18th...I will just happen to be on SBH June 1-7...you never just know....

i am pretty sure you have to board a ship at it's port of origin for security reasons!
Maybe Jimmy is going to fly them to Port Canaveral after the show????

I bet they could get aboard in Nassau. I think if you miss the boat, literally, you can board at the next port.
Maybe just Jimmy and Mac are going to St Barts....
Another interesting note from the cruise website:
Check out our other tribute cruises including a Parrothead cruise to Tahiti in early 2010.
Hmmm...

Yeah, that one got my attention too. I'd say this makes for a good chance that at least some of them will be at MOTM this year, although when they were up in Tampa in 07 they didn't show. Hmmm, maybe I'll leave for SBH from KW!

I haven't made my flight reservations yet.

I was on a very-delayed connecting flight to FLL with some people who were going to miss a cruise ship sailing and they were on the phone with their travel agent making arrangements to get to the first port. Their agent was telling them they could board there. I've never taken a cruise, so don't know for sure. (Though I do know I'd be in the departure city the day before, as many uber-stressed people as I've seen flying to FLL and MIA the day their cruise departs....)

St. Jimmy could probably get them pre-screened to board anywhere....if not, Tradewinds has turboprop charter service to St. Barts from San Juan.......

It was never a question of the whole band being there really but I WOULD miss Robert if the whole thing really ends up happening. I found that Hallyday guy's website... huh, HE'S a STAR???
Well I guess if you think Jerry Lewis is a comedic genius......... (no offense intended to any Francophiles out there but the cut I listened to was pretty bad)
And it doesn't say WHEN they will appear so I guess they could easily get on at St Maarten.
Well, I guess I have a plan for NEXT years big vacation now.

Ron...you s*#k!! i will just about kill to be on N. Captive right now. It's windy and cold here...burrr. we just got back from shopping and looking at lighter weight suitcases for the trip since the weight max is 44 lbs. my suitcase that isn't that big already weighs 10lbs plus there is the extra $25 charge for a 2nd bag which would be a cooler.
i guess those guys could play friday night at MOTM. sounds like a fun cruise with that line up and i don't even like cruises. that tahiti thing sounds good.
going to make din din and then i'll call ya pam.

Thought I was smart last year and shipped a 22x22x22 box..45#....until I got the bill....465.00 down and 525.00 back.....I now leave my espresso machine at the villa....BUT I did get to bring back and old light fixture from Autour that I am refurbishing.....and a high ball glass and a chunk of the old bar......What airline are you taking from SXM??? ST Barth Commuter will probably send a second overweight bag on a later flight if you tape a 20.00 bill to it.....Worked for me once ...

wow that is some cost... we were thinking of shipping our clothes down so we could bring our cooler of marinaded meats and such, like we used...back in good ole days. i would still like to bring a cooler of some items, it would just be smaller. the cooler would have food stuff on the way down and large conch shells we would find by the villa and boxes of sandals from italy and france in it on the way back.

of course that is when the currency was the franc and the exchange was so much in our favor. we always brought 2 bags and a decent sized cooler. we only got charge $20 one time.
we are flying WinAir on the way over and St.Barth Commuter on the way back.
