yes, we were in the front row in front of Mr. Utley but I had a white cap on. I was the one signing the lyrics to Autour du Roche. Our 3 BN buddies were just down to our left, Jen and Jen. They were on the video much more than we were.

...We don't get in untill Fri. morning........we will try to swing by and say hello...Boucanier's is a good choice....I have always found them friendly and accomodating....great view down the harbour and good food.......speaking of food, the only "bad" food I had was at Le Bistro..just down from Boucanier's.....bad service, bad food, and roaches crawling out of the drain crawling over your feet while you eat...we got up and left mid dinner, went up to Le Creperie and they put together a feast for us and we all shared a few bottles of champange....went from a bad evening to fantastic...

Will we need reservations for our Friday get together or just wing it ? Today sometime later we are going to TRY to figure out a couple places for lunch ( I want to go to the Isle de something LOL ) for lunch a spa treatment and use of their beach for 95 euros) and make a couple dinner reservations also . SBP will make our reservations prior to our arrival the hard part is I HATE schedules and have no clue what we will be getting ourselves into each day . . . . Decisions .. Decisions .... Decisions ...

I feel the same way, I hate to commit to something NOW not knowing what I'll feel like doing on the actual day. I was told by someone on the sbh forum that if you make your spa reservation early in the week for later in the week it should be fine. Where did you see the Isle de France special for 95 euros? That sounds great! I had planned on some spa time from the beginning but there are such good choices!

Ron, will we need reservations at Les Bouc for 4PM on Friday? Maybe a dozen or so folks?

I got this from a friend who has spent a fair amount of time there regarding the need for reservations at La Bouc

La Route Des Boucaniers...resto is open for lunch probably 12-3 and then opens for dinner at probably 7. But, they sell ice cream all day and there is a bar that I think stays open all day. The question will be, will they site 10-15 of you in one table with service from the bar. I would go by there during the lunch hour, and ask them if you can have a table for 10-15 at 4...and find out if appetizers will be available along with drinks. The kitchen may be closed from 3-7.

Scarlet the Isle de France 95 euro special is for off season I saw it on the other fourm . When we make reservations I'm going to ask if it's still honored. I hope so that's a steal . . . .

That would be GREAT, Carol and I talked about doing a spa day but only if it includes being on the beach afterwards - don't want to miss any beach time!! Let me know what you find out!

Thanks!

I just found that the La Route des Boucaniers has a Facebook Page - it's in French, but pretty good!

http://www.facebook.com/pages/La-Route- ... 1596182785

Check it out. We don't get into Gustavia until 8:00 PM - if you're still there we'll swing in for a drink!

I think the plan for some of us is to hear Marius' speech at 6, I so wish there was reliable cell service so we could all stay in touch!

Anyone else taking an iTouch? I have discovered yet another way to keep in touch with my girls. Using wifi I can send them a message thru Facebook. They have their phones set up to get notifications from Facebook and will be able to reply back via their phone. I like that. Just another for us when we are in Gustavia or Ptit Morne.

I don't own one - I"m very low tech. :D
The one person I am concerned about being able to reach (and be reached by) is my mom. I have barely gotten her to the point of carrying a cell phone for emergencies so nothing high tech will work there! She doesn't own a computer either so skypeing is out as well.

When we get to the Island, we buy a 5 Euro international phone card at the market across from the airport. We check in daily with the kids at home, and usually make it through the whole week with just one phone card.
