....For those not there yet.....article in Le news pretty much says Gustavia will be closed to car traffic and parking along many of the normal spots along the road......Remember my idea of parking by the airport and walking???? Time to start getting the carpool schedule out......I had planned to walk from the beach anyway...

This was on this mornings SBHonline

"Frequency of landings yesterday from 4:00 PM to airport close was about every 5 minutes -- it looked like old newsreel scenes of the Berlin airlift, with commercial & private aircraft almost lined-up in a steady stream of arrivals. As soon as passengers "de-plane'd," the aircraft returned to SXM for another round trip. Many private aircraft ferrying charter passengers.

JB arrived yesterday morning . . . band arriving on Thursday. "

Sounds like a great time to visit some places JB may "drop" into and pick up a guitar!

Geed181 - agree, it would be great to figure something out as far as getting in there Saturday morning - and out again Saturday night. Maybe Jimmy will let us park at his house?!

i highly doubt this since the CRB is scheduled to play at MOTM on Thursday.

US Air changed our plane and didn't tell us our seats have changed. Now were not together on any flights and at the BACK!! :o
I guess we could have bigger problems like missing our connection in Charlotte.

Phins up everyone.

I think you can see the stage being built. Someone on the ground will have to confirm! I know there was talk about the stage being in the area of the roll-up doors, maybe that has changed?

Last Bucket & New Years events the stage was exactly where that photo shows it, with the band facing away from the webcam, which would be westerly direction.

...Just keep the lyrics to "no plane on Sunday" running through your head...It's a hopeless situation, make the best of it, it's all you can do...............On a serious note, I have never reconfirmed any of my flights and the one time I did at the airport they just looked at me funny and said "you have a reservation, why do you need to confirm?"...never did again and never had any problems...RELAX....it always works out, just stay cool and calm, have a Carib.....
