One alcoholic drink per hour
The State of New Hampshire is considering implementing a law that will forbid bars and restaurants to sell more than one alcoholic drink per hour to their customers. How they will enforce this I am not sure since they cannot use breathalyzers since people process alcohol differently.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

The news had an interview with a guy who said he'll just go to each bar for 15 minutes each.Tequila Revenge wrote:Tag team barsSimply go across the street....

That just sounds like a logistical nightmare.

It is. It's almost unenforceable.Coconuts wrote:That just sounds like a logistical nightmare.

Re: One alcoholic drink per hour
Well there are times I'm in a bar and it takes me about 15 minutes to down my first one... The waitress is usually asking me if I'm ready for another one before I've even FINISHED my first one
On those nights I could down 3 in one hour easy... Fortunately after the first 3 it's rather easy for me to slow down...
That said there's NO WAY that they could enforce this rule (unless everyone is required to have a "tab" rather than paying cash, then it's actually pretty easy..., provided the bartender rings up the sale each time...)

The genius is the entrepreneur who runs a mall and rents space to 10-20 operators w/liquor licenses. Bar-hopping without leaving the building.

Re: One alcoholic drink per hour
I was thinking of those bars that have computerized cash registers... All they do is identify a tab by a name, then put in the drink and or drink price... Normally I pay cash unless I'm also buying food.inked-parrotthead wrote:sounds complicated,on a busy nite how would a bartende keep tabs on every drink and drinker served!I guess so much for ordering a shot and a beer for those folks.

Wow, this is like an insane form of prohibition. Worked so well the first time, why not try it again!!!
OK, fess up, whom amongst you are from New Hampshire and voted these clowns into office?? I can't say much, I'm from NC: Home base of the "tax-everything" mentality, and "nickle-and-dime" the average Joe to death.![nolikey [smilie=nolikey.gif]](./images/smilies/nolikey.gif)

few facts about NH
no income tax
no sales tax
gas tax 10 cents cheaper than Mass and Maine
firewroks, beer, ice ammo and gas all sold from the same store
70% of the people who live here wern't born here
our state reps get paid $100 dollars a year, that's right, $100 to serve as our reps.
Nothing gets down in NH, and that's how we like it
This wont go through, no worries
