I had over 100 robins in my backyard this afternoon.

I threw them some pizza crusts for the road, and they took off headed North.

Who's gonna spot them next??? 8)

Hope they come up here soon, but the lows are supposed to be in the 20's through Monday, except for Saturday, when it will be a balmy 34!

When we first moved here from Chicago in 2000, it seemed like the robins never left, but this year has been awful!

So much for global warming!

Pizza crusts? :o Try raisins.

Our robins really never leave...been a lot at the local parks hanging out with the waxwings, bluebirds and kingbirds in the camphor trees.

We had a bunch of them a week ago.

But I think they all froze this week.

we've seen the flocks of them well over three weeks ago....

they're pretty much seed eaters, can't say I've ever enticed them with pizza crusts...

Haven't seen any here yet. Still snow on the ground. Lots of years they are back here in January.

We had them here in Florida back in January..some years we have hoards of them and they stick around for over a month, but this year I only saw them for a couple weeks...and not as many either. I love to watch them dig around in the dirt for bugs & such.. :D

I've heard tell that robins do not migrate, but I swear I never see them in ne Ohio in the winter and I have feeders and birdbaths all over the yard. Still looking out my windows for the first ones, but if it's too damb cold for me, I'm sure they are gonna show their leetle beaks! :wench:

I just used what I had at the moment. No wonder they flew away!!! :D

Two mockingbirds were singing their hearts out at 7:30 this a.m. They have been out there all winter, but not singing. They really sounded like spring. One of the mockingbirds uses a hawk screech imitation when it chases my cats. 8)

I finally got to start enjoying them here a couple of days ago. I guess we're a bit
farther inland than some of you more northerly earlier sightings. They don't seem
as fat as last year's flock. :-? I hope that's not a bad sign... maybe just the economy?

I counted 11 fat red robins in my crabapple tree on Saturday, chomping on what's left for berries.
