Sail on Socks

Socks, the first cat during the Clinton Administration, has passed away.
A good run! They estimate Socks was "around 18 years old."

There are several pictures of him at the whitehouse with a leash. In one he's riding on Clinton's shoulders with the leash hanging down.
In another he is hissing at Buddy.

ohhhhh, poor socks. when i read this aloud to dave in his office, once of our cats came in and meowed. she feels badly also.
