More summer tour news...REO/Styx/38 Special
This one might be worth it just for the price alone. Tickets start around $13 for most markets.....

The Mansfield date falls the day after Buffett..........
$13.50 tickets, would this be the first show where the service charge is higher than the ticket?

Could be...I think the LiveNation fees look worse than the ticketmaster fees.

I could see all three bands.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Re: More summer tour news...REO/Styx/38 Special
When I saw them several years ago it was REO, Styx and Journey. Styx blew the other two away. REO needs to hang it up, the lead singer has NO voice. Journey would have been good if every song didn't include a 15 minute guitar solo.
But it was worth it just to see all the peeps stuck in the 80s...great people watching!

I don't have a problem with Styx... don't think I've EVER seen 38 Special in concert, and I agree with you about REO. However in the 80's he had a very good voice...
I did see Styx/REO play in concert a few years back... but this was still when Dennis DeYoung was with the band so that's been a while

Okay...I have to slide in and say....REO still has what it takes! and more. I have seen them with Styx a few times and I loved Styx but I don't enjoy them half as much without Dennis DeYoung. The last show I was at that they played together most of the people walked out and sat outside in the patio area drinking until REO came on. I have seen REO 4 times in the last 2 years and Kevin Cronin still has a very good voice. His vocals were great at every show and the band was dead on. I would love to see this tour but don't want to go to the venue they are at here.

Maybe Cronin got the vocal nodules removed then or something...because whatever was going on when i saw him was more than just an off night. It was PAINFUL to listen to, and trust me, I was a big REO fan. I'm trying to remember when I saw them...maybe 6-7 years ago, give or take. If he's back up to snuff, great!

Where have I been? So Dennis DeYoung hasn't been with Styx for awhile?I was excited about this concert coming to St.Louis.Still sounds fun if tickets are that reasonable.Barefoot Gypsy wrote:Okay...I have to slide in and say....REO still has what it takes! and more.
