Sail on, Mr. Harvey.

He was such a sought-after pitchman (for spots during his show) that only one in fifteen companies who wanted their prouducts advertised on his show were "accepted." He said that he didn't think of himself as a newsman-that he was a professional parade watcher who couldn't wait to get out of bed in the mornng and pan for gold on the teletypes (paraphrasing).

Definitely a loss to the world..

Sail on Paul Harvey. Some say he was too conservative for their liking. I think he just had good
common sense, a quality seriously lacking in too many of today's public figures.
