You can't make this stuff up. You would think that whoever handed him the radio would have taken notice that he didnt look familiar. The officer in the car with him was farily new to so she may have not known that he wasnt supposed to be there. I'm guessing he is a very old looking 14 year old.

Too bad he wasn't in New Castle County. He probably did a better job than the cops around here ever do.

Based on a Chicago Police Department 1st year salary of $43,000, I calculate a 5 and a half hour shift to be worth about $120.00.
I think they should pay the kid what they owe him, give him a badge and a gun, and then send him down to Human Resources to finish his new hire paperwork.
