Hi everyone. Im 47 and really just "discovered" Jimmy Buffetts music about 3 years ago. I know, a little late, but better late than never. I dont think Ive listened to anything else over the past few years except for Bob Marley. His music got me through some hard times the past two years. It may sound cliche but it really did. Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to this wonderful, active online community of parrot heads. I may have missed it but I didnt see an introduction forum or I would have posted there. I live in north Jersey. I just purchased tickets to his concert in AC. Ive never been to Boardwalk Hall. Anyone who has, how's section 4, row 19 sound? Hopefully I'll meet some people on here who can help me experience the full JB pre concert atmosphere. Nice to meet you all.

Hey Ricky

I was a late convert, myself. My wife actually likes the new me. She says I'm happier and more fun to be around. It's like I waited 38 years to find myself.

Welcome to BN.

My beautiful wife of 21 years was dignosed 2 years ago with a brain tumor. The same one Kennedy has. I had just started listening to Jimmy Buffett. She passed away 2 months ago. Without his music, I dont know how I would of done it. It calmed me and relaxed me and made it easier to deal with the things that were going on. It also made me a nicer person. Definitely more laid back.

Welcome! I, too, was an older new fan. JB's music got me through some tough times at work and then through breast cancer. Discovery sometimes happens at it's own pace - and mine has gotten better because of his music.

Welcome Ricky. Sounds like you got good seats. Don't wander too far off the boardwalk if you know
anything about AC. :pirate:

Welcome aboard Ricky!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I know from my own experience how Buffett's music can help you through hard times. Stick around and I'm sure you'll learn what a wonder group of people the majority of BN posters are. My knowing these people have helped me become a better person and I treasure the friendships I've developed here. I hope the same holds true for you as well!!!

Welcome Ricky! The 40's seem like the right time for change. I stopped listening to country, mostly due to Kenny Chesney, and started listening to more Jimmy and Radio Margaritaville, I started playing guitar, and I have been working on perfecting my margaritas (a lot of trial and error, and trial, and trial, etc..)

Grab a seat, welcome aboard.

WELCOME!!!

Glad you took the plunge! You'll find lots of nice people around here ... wish I had more time to spend on the board myself :)

Although nothing I've been through compares with your loss, JB's music has definitely seen me through my tough times as well. I hope you have a blast at your first concert!

Welcome Ricky!!! While I have always been a lover of the ocean and beach, I "discovered" JB about two years ago myself. I listen to very little else!

Welcome to the board!!! Phins up!!! :pirate:
