Surfpirate probably never copyrighted the name itself, but each of "BN Critters" strips have the little 'c-bug' line (© Copyright 2009 by surfpirates.com) on them. So I'm guessing that he does hold a copyright on the name "anonymouse" as it refers to a specific mouse character on the basis of continuous usage.

I'm not a lawyer, but I have some experience with the law.......making it, enforcing it, twisting it, or breaking it, take your pick!!

Well, this explains why our little mousy friend doesn't have a real job and can afford to go tramping around New England. He's a trust-fund bro living off the success and hard work of his family!
