Re: Hero truck driver!!!
Nice story with a happy ending.
I had to chuckle tho' when I read the name of the trucking firm - FUBAR Trucking Company.

That is a great story. My big question is who would name their company (FUBAR) F***** Up Beyond All Recognition Trucking, they must really have a good sense of humor.

They might also be ex-military, and if so, probably ex-Marine. We have a group here in La Crosse who have formed a parade unit:

using an old 1953 Ford F-600 firetruck. Note the use of the word "OOO-RAH", which gives away a Marine almost as surely as the 'Globe and Anchor' emblem or the "Semper Fi" bumper sticker on their vehicle.
They are also affiliated with the "Skyrockers", a local group of pyrotechnicians who are the volunteers who set up and shoot almost all of the local fireworks displays in our area. Because of this they sometimes refer to themselves as 'a small group with the "World's First & Only Real Fire Truck" ', going on to explain that "The others carry water and hoses, we carry fire!".
Here's a picture of the truck in one of our recent night-time parades:

Click on either picture for a surprise.
And yes, that is an actual fireworks waterfall being activated from the rack at the rear of the truck.
