I bought some for Don and we tried it (without that blonde, but with this blonde ) on Friday. Don really likes it for sipping, did not mix it with anything yet.

I haven't had it mixed with anything yet either...well, aside from drinking beer alongside it. But, I think it's pretty good on its own.

My prefered way to drink this is, put in your freezer till well chilled, fill glass

with ice, pour over ice till glass full, enjoy.

It suggests spring water but that made the vodka more prominent. The first

taste will have a vodka taste but that goes away quickly.

The rasberry does not even have the vodka taste to me.

Watch out some have learned that it can really sneak up on you the first

time around.

I didn't even find this thread till this morning, read the whole thing and now of course, for those who know me, I must put in my 2 cents.

I have made more phriends through this thread in the last year than I have made in many years. Real phriends, not virtual ones. We do take this tailgate seriously for the previously posted reasons, but I have never seen anyone ignored or left out. I am taking 4 virgins this year for that very reason. I talked to many last year that were blown away. A tremendous party, for an awesome cause and everyone feeling like keets but behaving like full grown Parrotheads (at least when it comes to negative behavior ).

The warnings about TABC are true. End of that story.

I personally go all over the lot and talk to lots of pholks that aren't in our group. They're all Parrotheads, too. They are having their own great time. I tell everyone about this group, with the hope next year they'll join us in partying for a purpose.

I get that you are new to this site and didn't realize the significance of our tailgate. Some posts coulda maybe been a little nicer, but it pretty much looked like most were reacting to previous posts. Traveler's rule #1: When you arrive in town, always be nice to the locals. FYI, internet etiquette denotes all caps as shouting at someone. That can make people misinterpret your statement.

I love the people here. It's really weird how the only negative things said were by 2 people brand new to site. That's not really fair. If you had 100 posts and some bad experiences, that would be different. I still can't fathom someone being ignored by this whole group for an entire tailgate. Socialization is an interactive experience and some pholks have better skills than others. I'm just sayin'.

In closing, welcome to Frisco. Mike, I hope you take a little time to come over and actually meet some of us. First impressions should be made eye to eye, not keyboard to keyboard.

What is the TABC and why would they be interested in spoiling tailgates?

They are the 800 lb gorillas that wield a lot of power in Texas. Like my friend with the Wood County Sheriff's office said, "You don't grow up wanting to be a TABC officer. It's where good officers go when they go bad."

I can't speak for the ones in the Metroplex, but the ones in my neck of the woods are notorious for acting like Jackboot Nazis and scaring the daylights out of people ... and liking the power trip. They're being sued for several raids in 2004-5. Cases are just now coming to court and, man, they are ugly.

They are why Mr. Mojito and I don't drink at bars in our area anymore. Period.

They really like when you tell them they are Jack booted Nazis...No Really they do... They even give you a nice room to stay in right after a little exercise (I call it the hammer throw) for voicing your 1st Amendment right. Oh well. I'll be good this year if there happens to be a problem. Mrs. PHritz would kill me. I would have to bribe them to let me stay

My daughter works at a CVS in Galveston. The TABC showed up, some guy in a big cowboy hat with a gun, and questioned her coworker about a sale to some guy about 5 min ago. They sent a decoy in who looked 28 and was like 20. He bought a 6 pack from the worker. The girl who sold the beer failed to check the ID. The TABC guy said you owe $500 for the fine and if your dont pay you go to jail. Who the hell has $500 in their pocket working at CVS. My daughter said they cuffed the girl and hauled her off. The TABC sucks.
