Oh, my gosh. I'm sorry you feel that way about Hoot Island. It was my all-time favorite phlocking - rain and all. I met the PHarms. Al-a-Bastard showed up, unannounced. SGH thought someone had died when Al showed up. Santa wore a hula skirt. I met PHritz and Wes. Conululu was there. She and Auntie got scepters and crowns. We did gift bags for everyone. I got the show poster at the end of the night. AngelBeech brought a TikiBar. My 74 year-old mother went down the water slide - TWICE. And that girl passed out by the hot tub. Did you miss that? It was hilarious. Oh, yeah ... my mom walked in on someone rockin' the RV ... she is still laughing about that!

It's funny you would mention that we weren't friendly. I spent 30 minutes talking to a couple ... fed them ... got them drinks ... bags, etc. The guy told me he was from Hooters ... and would get some Hooters girls for the next party, but when I called the number he gave me, it was bogus.

I wish I had met you and your group, especially the virgins. The ones we knew about got a special tour of the parking lot.

Missed opportunities all the way around.
What ETP said.....So sorry we missed you.

Thanks, (((SSS)))....Hoot Island is a very special memory, and the poster from it is hanging over my computer...... :D

I tried to meet everyone, but there were a few of us there...

And btw , I didn't get a scepter....I brought it.

OOps. I phorgot that you brought the scepters. You're the one who started Auntie on the path to scepterdom!

I came to Dallas all the way from New England and was welcomed with open arms.

I'd like to think I learned something on that first trip to the Big D. I did come away with a new-to-me phrase, and it seems to fit...

Bless your heart....

P.S. Did you go to the same elementary school as Mike?

I'm sorry you had a bad experience in 2006. I held a public survey after that party seeking honest feedback from everyone, and I never heard anything about this. I would have tried to make things right for you then, heck I'll even try to do it now.

I do still have the records of how much everyone paid that year. Obviously this is a brand new username for you, so you won't be on that list. Please provide the details of who you were with in 2006, and I will refund you the money that was paid.

For everyone bickering with Mike the Pirate - please stop. There is plenty of room for everyone and we don't have the market cornered on tailgating in the parking lot.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Mr. P, I have absolutely no issue with Mike the Pirate's tailgate. To each his own. What I do take issue with, however, is his rude and snide remarks in this thread to folks who were merely trying to give him info concerning what FFF is all about.

Mr. Play

That is sweet of you but would never request a thing like that. We certainly ate and the potties were worth every dime we paid. I still have my poster hanging up in my buffett room also. I was just trying to express to Mike all the guff he was getting from a few people, that they were not to friendly in person either.

Would never say anything bad, we certainly did not let anything rain on us that day except the actually rain.

Thank again for the gester. I am sure we will see you again this year as we make our rounds around the lots.

a) you're right. no one talked, no one said hi, no one had fun. Everyone stood around staring glumly at the sky, acting like autistic kids with sub-clinical depression. I don't think one greeting was exchanged all day.
b) I stand by my "I think there is more to the story", especially for someone with just 2 posts.

I stand by my conviction that is absolutely no need for any more comments with negative implications in this thread. I am totally serious.

Everyone to the bar for a Beer [smilie=gt-happyup.gif]
