Spring flowers to decorate with.

Post by popcornjack »

So we're having a party at the restaurant Saturday to celebrate the start of spring, and I want to decorate the place so that it looks "spring-y" but my knowledge of flowers is..........lacking, to say the least. I need to have a 2 dozen little bouquets, one for each table. Any ideas?
Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

daffodils - definately. Tried to find a link to the daffodil principle garden - five acres of daffodils on a hillside in CA - they are beautiful and happy flowers!

While I love the scent of hyacinths the scent on a table where you are eating might be a bit strong...and some people react badly to heavily scented flowers. I would go with the dafodils.

This week is actually the american cancer society daffodil days in CT. I got the impression that you had to order them in advance but might be worth a call to the local chapter to see if they have any extras to sell - esp. since it for Saturday and it's the end of their week ....two birds and all that jazz.

I love hyacinths too but agree with Nutmeg - too strong for dinner table.
