Man: I Wasn’t Drunk When I Wrecked Barstool Racer

Post by a1aara »

Now this is Red Neck!

I don't live all that far from Newark, Ohio. Be proud Newark! I don't ever want to hear people from Ohio bad mouthing WV or Kentucky again.

NEWARK, Ohio—Everyone knows you can tip back a cold one on a barstool. Did you know you can drive a barstool?

One Newark man has been accused of doing both at the same time.

911 call: “I got a friend here that wrecked a barstool—hit the pavement with his head.“

The 911 operator seemed unfazed, but the Newark police officer who issued the citation found the situation to be unique.

NBC 4’s Ana Jackson talked to Kile Wygle to get his side of the story.

Barstool racers apparently are the latest craze in transportation.

Wygle found out the latest craze also can be dangerous.

Wygle said the incident on Wednesday, March 4, was the first time he crashed a motorized barstool.

When Jackson asked him how it crashed, Wygle said he didn’t know.

I remember seeing something like this in the Fox Valley/Lake Winnebago area of Wisconsin ten or fifteen years ago. Once rather large party place even used to have regular races inside, around the circular bar.
