Looks like the Navy Seals overtook the lifeboat. It also seems that the pirates fell asleep and were shot by the navy seals or other military personnel. Not sure if this is true.

The most important thing, Captain Phillips is uninjured and in good condition. 
CNN just reported that he jumped overboard again, which left the pirates exposed as they tried to get in position to shoot him. Before they could get off any shots they were taken out either by SEALS or other military.

I went to Mass Maritime Academy (I know, shock right... but only for a semester! Good story though). Anyways, I know Joe Murphy, such an amazing man, and so glad to hear his friend and son are aok! That school definately knows how to make strong and able shipsmen!!!! and women!

As the former Captain of the USS Cole said on FOX News the first reports are usually very inaccurate. Need to wait and see how the operation actually went down. Best thing is the Captain is safe and 3/4 of the pirates are dead.
