Me too.

For me, restaurants get broken into at least two groups based on 1) food and 2) atmosphere.

Based on food is just what it says. If I want a delicious meal and don't care too much about the atmosphere. Some places combine both: Duke's (either Honolulu or Malibu) makes one of the best fish dinners I've tasted and the view is magnificent. Others, like Victor's Cafe in Manhattan or Red Parrot in Newport, have no view but the food is great.

If I want atmosphere (waterfront, for instance, or a "Buffett-esque" place) I may not be as picky about the food. It has to be decent, but doesn't have to be magnificent. M'Ville's are fun, food is good, drinks are good and the videos are a blast to watch. There's a restaurant/bar in Montauk, Long Island whose name escapes me. Food is decent (if a bit expensive) but the view is absolutely unbeatable: you're sitting beside the channel watching boats come and go. I've spent an entire afternoon there more than once. Ate lunch then moved to the 2nd floor outdoor bar to watch the world go by.
