Nine years ago, Nacchio was one of the most powerful men in the state. Back then he told 9NEWS he lived by five words: "Serve customers well and then save cash."

He wasn't committing fraud he's just not good with numbers.

the only shame is that he is doing time in a relatively-cushy slot. Given the amount of wreckage he left in his wake, like others of his ilk, it should be time in a maximum-security facility. If the punishment potential of being caught were truely a deterrant, the idea of ruining thousands of lives through personal greed and spending 6 years being passed around like ice cream for freaks might actually keep guys like this and Ken Lay from taking that first step.
