So I'm at work on Wednesday and I get a call from a friend who lives here on the beach..he says guess who I was surfng with this morning...I said I hate you...I was only kidding ...but very jealous. He said Jimmy was out there when he paddled out. Just my friend, Jimmy, and one other person. I got the whole story yesterday and It sounded cool.

On a side note my girl just saw the Tomato about 30minutes ago!

See ya at the Charlotte show!!!

When we were in Wakiki in in February, we were walking down the beach in front of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and Jimmy was putting his tether on his ankle before heading out to surf. Talk about a cool place to see him!!

I know he's busy and all but 5 seconds wont make you that much later than you already are and I don't think they would have started the meeting without him. Come on Jimmy take some time for your fans.
I think that "No thanks. I just don't feel like it right now" is a valid excuse to avoid an impromptu photo op. But the "no time" excuse probably doesn't make the fan feel bad... or as bad.
I agree....I'm not famous, but I can imagine that if I were it would be annoying to have people constatly run up to you and ask for a photo with you. At some point you just have to say no...not today. As much as it would bum you out he really doesn't owe you anything beyond a good show, and fun music. I'm sure he knows how it makes the fan feel when he declines, but he is not obligated to take a photo with every fan that recognizes him and asks him to do so. Their is nothing wrong with asking him....just don't be p*** at him if he declines. Now after saying all of that....if I ran into him out on the street, and asked him for a photo, and he said no.....I would be bummed. But I also understand that he, or any famous person, likes their privacy, and doesn't always want their photo taken. Cool for the people that have run into him...photo or no photo....it would just be cool to meet him and shake his hand.

In Frisco, the Morris Island was featured in the video for Coast of Carolina. That was a highlight of the concert for me!

I saw that in Charlotte as well Bill.

He really needs to come 'round these parts more often.

:o I was staying at the hotel next to the Royal Hawaiian and was on that section of the beach constantly. (Never saw Jimmy however)
