I believe Rhumba Girl was the big track off her debut album. and yes, she left us too early. Also, if I remember right, she was a Helena girl made good in the big city. She introduced me to this song years ago when she opened for someone at the Salt Palace and then came over to the Zephyr Club in SLC and did an entire show. She was so sweet and she did such a great job of keep the music real. Her husband, as many here know, is/was Russ Kunkel (remember him?) . Her daughter Elsie May has inherited her mother's looks and talent, along with many of her father's talents. I had the pleasure of meeting them at a tribute concert two years ago, when my friend Mare Lennon (another great musician/singer/songwriter) invited me.
