Let's see the airline try to charge *them* extra for using the restrooms...

And I'd bet that none of the pets are gonna show up on a TSA watch list.

It's all the same - lock 'em up, throw some food at 'em, and let 'em out when you arrive at destination. Probably less complaining, too. (j/k)

On the other hand, that's the same line of reasoning flight attendants use with regard to pilots.

Now, I'm no peta member (steak=good) but I see some benefit in this. It's my understanding that when pet travel, if they are too big to be a carry on, they end up going down below in cargo. When I say too big, I mean anything bigger than those little dogs that get put into those carriers, which I got think is a lot of dogs. Now, I didn't think the cargo area below is pressurized or heated, but I might be way wrong about that. At least with the pressurized part; I doubt it's heated. Being able to put your dog/cat in a temperature controlled, pressurized environment has got to be more comfortable for the animal. I'd imagine people who use this are moving from one city to another, not just taking their pet on a trip. I love my dog but if I was moving from Washington DC to LA, I'd potentially fly him instead of sticking him in the car with me for a road trip.

Good lord though, think of the noise and the smell. Yick.

I moved a med size dog, older dog at that, 4 cats, and 5 ft. corn snake 1,002 miles. Drove straight through.

All was fine, except the snake didn't eat one of the mice I put in there, and one of them, umm didn't make it. Dead mice smell horrible.

I don't think I'd ever let any of my pets fly in the cargo hold. I've been seated next to dogs, and cats, when flying.

Look at where they are flying currently and you won't be surprised.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

Lol!!! Um, what kind of ID will they have to show??

I have been asked if I can book an airline ticket for a dog before....... our office got quite a laugh out of that one. I asked if it were one way or round trip, if the dog needed a car rental and a hotel when he arrived at his destination!!

We were going to get him a Land "Rover" rental car, and set him up at the Red "Roof" Inn !!

Lol~~

I also had someone who called and asked if he could book airline tickets around the world to stop in as many cities as possible for a teddy bear..............

I wonder if the airline would make a "big" dog buy two seats????

What are they allowed to bring in their carry on??

when i was flying back and forth from Arizona to Texas, I would take Squirt (my cat at the time) with me. He had is own reservation number. I asked America Worst (now US Air) if I could get him his own FF number so he could earn his own free trip.

They didn't seem to think that was funny
