Why do you, don't you; will you or won't you?

Re-exploring and expanding upon this old thread a bit: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=47032&hilit=+why+you+jimmy+concerts

That one was simply 'why do you go to Buffett concerts... music or tailgating?'

This delves a little deeper. Lotsa options, and I'm sure most could "check all that apply", so I narrowed it to what is your main reason? I came up with the max 14, and still have a few more in mind, but this will have to do.

When there is a tailgate (like Frisco)---for friends.
and to help with the fundraising
Jimmy is just a wonderful plus :D

For shows where there either isn't a tailgate or we don't attend---just the music

For me it's definitely the friends I make and get to see again that otherwise I never would have met. But the music is good too :D

There are too many choices for my old, NyQuil'd brain. :o

I love the tailgating, seeing friends, but I was there in the beginning when Jimmy schlepped his own eqiupment and counted the gate by hand.

It was his music that drew me in ... and it's his music that keeps me coming back.

I first came for Jimmy and his music, but now that's just a part of it.....it's the total experience of seeing friends, enjoying the day with them making lasting memories, and listening to the man who all brought us together.

all of these AND the big one (for me)
a reason I am attending 4 shows this year (a personal best)
three of them in a new (for me) venue..

I go because it might suddenly end tomorrow

I have never yet been to a Jimmy Buffett concert. I've seen video clips, but it's not the same thing.

So I'm going to Alpine Valley this year because it sounds like it's going to be a whole lot of fun. And it doesn't matter if the fun is in getting there, partying the night before at the pre-show party in Lake Geneva, partying in the parking lot, or partying with the people on the grass during the show. It's all good.

Why didn't I see that option??

Sorry, I can't choose just one. (Indecision may or may not be my problem.)

I go because it might suddenly end tomorrow

I go to see my friends, and spend quality time and create memories with them
I don't go because I can't afford it

We go, primarily for the show and the music. The parking lot is almost as important, but if we were thinking about going to a show our prime concern is the show, not who else will be there.
