Even though I'm not a Pens fan, after Rafalski's cheap shot on Crosby, I not only wanted the Pens to win, I wanted them to embarrass the Wings on their own ice..... but I can settle for the Pens hoisting the Cup in Detroit.

Wow, what a game. What a series. Congrats to the Pens (damn that was hard to say). Nice to see Cooke win; even though his time in Washington was brief, he was one I wish the Caps could have resigned.

Well, at least the Hershey Bears won the AHL Championship. Wait, that's yet another Pennsylvannia team. Can you guys let someone from one of the other 49 states win something?

That wasn't a cheap shot on Crosby, it was a good hit. It was just hard and he was in a bad position.

Hossa was a puck hog. I thought it was really strange that he wanted to leave the Pens last year. That just seems so...imagine Jari Kurri wanting to leave the Edmonton Oilers after the 1983 Finals. Just flat out STOOPID. Stuart - damn, he reminds me of that dude who used to play for Green Bay and went to New Orleans who I thought should have been benched and then traded to some shithole like Oakland - he needs to be traded to some team that will never win the Cup - San Jose, Los Angeles or Anaheim (their one Cup was a fluke) would be good choices...

Pittsburgh out played, out skated, out hit and out scored Detroit. Detroit looked tired, slow, old and messy. Osgood goes down on every shot.

The first Penguins goal should not have been allowed though - that should have been an icing. The refs have been letting that kind of crap go for years - it makes the red line a moot point. But this year they really let a lot of the rules go so I'm not really sure what they are there for anymore. That, what, hooking? call on Staal was hilarious. I didn't see anything - yet a few minutes later someone was hacking away at someone from behind that was obvious interference and...nothing.

I had to think about who won the Super Bowl this year. Sort of like who won the MLB finals last year, which I can never remember. Those small towns do that.

Great series though. Exciting hockey is fantastic and I love seeing the talent on Pittsburgh. It's sort of funny in a way that here is Detroit, the butt of jokes and the top of the heap for joblessness etc...and they can't win the Cup the one year that they really could have done SOMETHING to help the city in some way.
