I've had their grilled chicken. It's either the stopping smoking has messed up my taste buds or it su<ks. I'm not sure.

I have a feeling Oprah shook down Yum! brands and they are giving away the chicken and she is taking credit.

let's just say I've had better grilled chicken. I've grilled and burnt better chicken. Of course it could also be the franchise I was. I'm not rushing to print anything right now.

Grilled to me implies a Weber with charcoal and a chunk of wood to make some sweet blue smoke. I'm betting none of these are found in your average franchise. Grilling (or their version) takes the F out of the KFC part. That's the best part of KFC (which is why they went to calling it KFC instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken. You have to print this out before midnight tonight (CDT) to get the coupon which is good through May 19, 2009. (excluding Mother's Day...snicker...no, seriously)

I'm thinking Oprah had little or nothing to do with this; she's just shilling for them. A week or so ago (April 26th) there was a coupon for one free piece of the "grilled chicken" glued to one of the pages in the 'PARADE' magazine supplement that comes with most Sunday papers these days......

They're trying to get the word out as best as they can. And Oprah's a bigmouth (personal opinion) with a lot of viewers; who better to blow their horn for them??

I tried to print the stupid coupon and it wouldn't..................that's okay, I prefer El Pollo Loco. Much better than KFC.

I had a my first "Whataburger" and I was highly impressed. Needless to say it will not be my last! ( I hope!)

Tried to print out a coupon earlier today and got one. You could get up to 4. ( I know of at least one person that somehow got 6.)

Anyway after the first one printed a message popped up. Something about the server was overloaded or something and to try back later.
So I tried back later and got 3 more coupons.
I know KFC used to offer a rotisserie (sp) chicken that was outstanding. Me and a friend and former coworker (he changed jobs) used to devour a whole one at work, between the two us.

I saw the commercial in April while watching the NASCAR race about KFC was giving away a free sample of the grilled chicken. We went in that Sunday and found out they were not giving the sample out until Monday.

WTF? It is free food. Maybe anyone with any extra coupons could donate them to homeless or other needy people, or shelters or something.

I honestly do believe, that Oprah is a sincere and caring person, that wants to, and actually does help people. Remember when she gave all of those new cars away and people got p*** at her because they had to pay the gift taxes on the FREE car? Quite a few people could not afford the taxes on the car. The taxes were still cheaper than buying the new car.

What does that say about Oprah and the car manufacturer? (or our tax laws?) To me it says a lot of good about Oprah and her willingness and wanting to help others.

I've had the chicken...picked some up the other day when I was too tired to cook. It was good IMO. Better then the grilled chicken sandwiches that you can get from the other places....It wasn't as good as what you make at home, but it was fine for a quick dinner. The coupon is free - so I printed off one.

?? other than the comment about her demogoguery or the perception of it, I don't see anything but a discussion about the merits of the chicken

I saw on the news last night that KFC was not honoring coupons that were not printed in color and that caused lots of problems....
