I read something the other day, after Friday night's show where Nadirah, Mr Utley, Robert G and Ralph played with the Boat Drunks at Joe's on Weed Street in Chicago. It said:
"If you get a chance to see this Dynamic lady do not pass it up."
I could not agree more!
The person who said it also posted a couple YouTube videos from the concert Friday night at Joe's... whoever Ron is, thank you, thank you!

Next up, for me anyway... August 28th - Elkhorn, WI - the Boat Drunks with Nadirah Shakoor, Doyle Grisham, and Mike Utley.

This event is $30 at the door, $25 in advance.
All proceeds go to the Walworth County Children’s Advisory Board for Abused Children.
There is camping available, if you're a happy camper! And a bus to and from the Buffett show Saturday night.
Entertainment starts at 4:00pm, with the Cedar Island Band and Matt Wahl on the schedule as well.
And it looks like the Boat Drunks are from 8pm til Midnight, with the special Coral Reefers joining them.
Here's the link to the home page, where you can see additional info on camping and the bus, as well as purchase advance tickets via Paypal.

Tiki, you are correct...The Boat Drunks are on from 8p-12a with the above-mentioned Coral Reefers. Should be a great day/night...looking forward to seeing our buds in the Cedar Island Band and Matt Wahl again! If this show is ANYTHING like Joe's last Friday, you will not want to miss it...Tiki Bar wrote:This event is $30 at the door, $25 in advance.

Will do! Hey, how's Duckett? We didn't see him in Chicago, and, as his de facto agent, I was a bit concerned.

He was in the area but was unable to make your show in Chicago. From everything I've heard, he missed a helluva good one. He does have some time free in September after Jimmy's Labor Day shows...til Jimmy plays Orlando in November.....if you guys want him to go on tour with you for awhile, I'm sure it could be arranged.

I'll probably be there around 5:00ish... easiest to just head north straight from work.
I'm so excited!

Re: 8/28 - Boat Drunks and Coral Reefers - Elkhorn, WI
Another spectacular Boat Drunks featuring Doyle, Mr Utley, and Nadirah show!!
And give it up for Jake Tatar on lead vocals and rhythm guitar!! He does a great job, and was looking like he was lovin' it last night.
There were showcasing and shout outs to Howie Golub, Dyke Corson, Larry Lister, Aaron Walk, and Andy Gaines, and of course Doyle Grisham, Nadirah Shakoor, and Mr Utley ~ each and every one of them fascinating to watch, and wonderful to hear. But Jake was groovin' up front, sounding great, and quietly making noise! Well done!
