So sad

Please if you have nothing better to do then cause a problem here, don't. I'm just begging you to keep this tread from turning into a Bashing (insert cause here) Thread.

WASHINGTON – Pentagon officials say five Americans are dead after a U.S. soldier opened fire at a U.S. base in Baghdad. They say the attacker is in custody.

The officials say the shootings happened on Camp Liberty at a stress clinic, where troops can go for help with the stresses of combat or stress from personal issues.

This just came across the wire in the news office. Such a tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.

I have a friend whose brother is at Camp Liberty. He's waiting for an answer to his "are you okay" email.....

Camp Liberty is a big place, with many, many people. The tough part now for anyone who has family there is sweating out whether or not there will be a knock on the door, and that will take some time.

So tragic......many prayers and thoughts for everyone involved! I hope the gov't realizes the stress that all our men and women are under over there and try to get them help sooner.

It sounds like it may have been a "frag". Too early to tell. It could have been the result of a lot of different things or nothing. None of which justify the action taken and lives lost.

My empathy goes out to the friends, families, team mates, and coworkers of the murdered.
