To my comrades in arms who have gone before me, Thank you very much for your gift and for those who are currently serving, Semper Fi! Some may confuse service with other ideas or may ascribe different beliefs to your service. All I can say is that I am very thankful that you have opted to put it all on the line for your country and for your squad.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

"America Unites In Remembrance

The White House Commission on Remembrance is an independent government agency, established by Congress, whose missions include:

Promoting the spirit of unity and remembrance through observance of The National Moment of Remembrance at 3 PM local time on Memorial Day

Ensuring the nation remembers the sacrifices of America's fallen from the Revolutionary War to the present;

Recognizing those who have served and those who continue to serve our great nation and reminding all Americans of our common heritage."

My family and I always attend a local Memorial Day parade to salute the active and former members of the military and the organizations of families who support them. Following the parade, there is a ceremony in the cemetery that we attend. My daughters have insisted that their children attend and salute those who have kept us free. Although we do spend the remainder of the day with our friends and family, we will take time at 3 p.m. to remember the price paid for our ability to do so.

Remember by uncle, Lawrence Hamilton, who was killed at the end of World War II. His final resting place = American Cemetery near Cambridge, Englad.

Remembering my father, 1st. Lt. Albert R. Hamilton, who was a Sabre Jet pilot in Korea and was killed in the Globemaster crash of 1953. His final resting place = National Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.

Remembering my grandparents, the late A.R. and Pauline Stivers Hamilton who also gave all.

Aloha Arts Junkie,
Just wanted you to know that the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of Aloha Council will be placing an American Flag and a Flower Lei on your fathers grave today.

What a beautiful thing to do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Through the years, friends who have traveled to paradise have taken time from their vacations to make the trek up to the Punchbowl and have sent photos to my mom and me. The small tree that was there when my dad was first buried there now provides a wide canopy of shade from the tropical sun. He's at Q855 ... on the inner side of the circle to your right. Right near the drive.

Thank you for your kindness and for remembering one who gave all.
Oh Terry! How wonderful! ((Hawaiian scouts))

FAN-FRIGGIN'-TASTIC!!!

Now THAT'S what Memorial Day is all about. NOT a bunch of stupid stinking sales, barbeques, and an extra day off from work or school. Very refreshing (and very beautiful) that somebody else actually GETS it.

So true Garry!!! Well said!!!

Terry that is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!  :D :D :D
