My bad - I suggest just doing a google search on RV parks in Orlando. Of course, that's what I did and Jellystone was one of the results.z-man wrote:I am not a camper, so can not help much on that subject,Feesh wrote: Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

Shoot me a PM if you'll be in the Orlando area the 4th of July and don't have any plans.

Re: Who's going to Orlando 11/14?
Thanks anyway for the hints about the RV park. I guess we will just go back to checking the RV park listings and trying to Mapquest it from the arena to the RV park to see how far away it is in actual driving or walking distance. Gosh, there are a LOT of RV parks near Orlando!
It would be so nice if we could just tailgate in the parking lot with our trailer, but it is probably a bit too big (we have a 37' 5th wheel)! We were able to do that at the Frisco concert and had a total blast with our dogs and other BN'ers. Please let us know if you come up with any other ideas for RV parks near Amway arena. ![battingeyes [smilie=battingeyes.gif]](./images/smilies/battingeyes.gif)

This is the website for the Central Florida Fairgrounds. The north side of the Amway Arena is accessible from State Road 50 (Colonial Blvd.). I think it's a 2 mile trip west from the arena.TulsaParrotheads wrote:Thanks anyway for the hints about the RV park. Hi all,
I am new to the site and I have to say it is very cool. Anyone have a clue when the tickets are going to go on sale? Thanks for any info.

Thanks SOOOOOO much Piratenole for suggesting the fairgrounds and for continuing to help us. The fairgrounds would be perfect for the four of us--my husband, two fur children and me.
It is close enough for me to dash back to check on the dogs during the day while husband stays behind to tailgate. Hmmm, now we just have to get concert tickets!

Tickets for shows have gone on sale anywhere from 8 months to 8 WEEKS before the event.North A1A wrote:Hi all,

I know that's a pretty vague answer, but it's pretty much the norm with Jimmy Buffett tickets.
Best thing to do is to check back every day for any updated info concerning ticket sale dates.
I don't know how much good it will do you, but you may also want to consider calling the venue's box office and see if they know anything.
Good luck, and welcome to Buffett News.

Re: Who's going to Orlando 11/14?
We wanted to make the Orlando show part of our fall vacation, so we have put our deposit down on a four night cruise on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas sailing out of Port Canaveral on November 9th to Nassau and Coco Cay (RCL's private island) before returning to Port Canaveral on November 13th. That gives us all day on the 13th to visit with our 'keets who live in Orlando. Then we get to tailgate (our first time) before the show on the 14th. Now some may say that we are jumping the gun since tickets haven't gone on sale yet, but either way, we have a nice little vacation planned.
If anyone else is interested in a little pre-show cruise, check out RCL's web site at:
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacrui ... ce=&state=
This will be a great way to prepare for the show!

Sounds like a great plan! Have fun on the cruise!! I believe we've done that cruise before (although on a weekend), was a great time. Don't forget to bring back the best quality deal on duty-free beverages that you can.catsway wrote:We wanted to make the Orlando show part of our fall vacation, so we have put our deposit down on a four night cruise on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas sailing out of Port Canaveral on November 9th to Nassau and Coco Cay (RCL's private island) before returning to Port Canaveral on November 13th. If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

My sister just started working at NBA City... We don't live on that side of town at all but we do head out there occasionally for a margaritaville run. I do have plans for the forth but I will let you know if I meet her at CityWalk for drinks when I go home a couple weekends this summer!MobileTikiBar wrote:Shoot me a PM if you'll be in the Orlando area the 4th of July and don't have any plans.
