I got my thursday pit on onsale day. The ones I had to return were the ones we all bought the other day for Saturday. Are they letting you keep your Thursday pits? I would be surprised if they did since you bought them at the same time we all did, but that would be great for you.Seas in my veins wrote:Did anyone get that email for thursday Pits?

Re: Camden Pits
I filed a complaint with NJ Consumer Affairs. This is the same office that investigated the Bruce Springsteen ticket problems. Just out of curiosity I went over to Tickets Now and check out what they had available in the Pit. I noticed 10 seats available in Pit 102 row 5 - the same row that mine and some other people on BN's tickets were located. The seats were listed for $509. I wonder if these are some of the seats that they took back from us.

Re: Camden Pits
In the other thread, there is talk of making the media aware.
I remember the Bruce Springsteen deal went down and was all over the news!
Wonder if they should be alerted?
Wonder if Jimmy Buffett knows about this?
Sorry to all who got "shafted"!

Re: Camden Pits
They took my front row seats for 6/18. Not because of there error but because i exceeded the ticket limit for the show, which i did. i also did the same for 6/20 and they didn't touch those.
Re: Camden Pits
Keep checking you 6/20 order - where were your seats for 6/20?Seas in my veins wrote:They took my front row seats for 6/18. Not because of there error but because i exceeded the ticket limit for the show, which i did. i also did the same for 6/20 and they didn't touch those.
I didn't discover the problem until last night. I tried calling TM this morning but was told that only the automated customer services are available today and to call back tomorrow during normal business hours.
Re: Camden Pits
Is there anyone on here who bought PIT seats for either show in Camden in the past week and did not get there tickets switched?
Re: Camden Pits
I got a 2nd row Pit seat in Camden several years ago. I've also had 5th row for Hartford and once got 2nd row for the Arts center all through Ticketmaster. These were single seats except for Hartford.RideROne wrote:The ticket prices were the same as any "seat". Lawn were 100 less. Has anyone ever gotten a pit ticket through normal means? Sounds like a nice bait and switch to me, "sorry we can't sell you the tickets you actually purchased but here are some we couldn't get rid of."
But in 30 plus years of going to Buffett concerts the odds for getting great seats are slim to none and have gotten increasingly worse over the past 10 years.

Re: Camden Pits
As always, I completely disagree with this point of view. In the last 10 years I have obtained orchestra seats multiple times ...... 1st, 2nd or 3rd row 7 or 8 times ...... front row (center) 3 times. And not singles, always 2 seats together and all bought through TicketMaster.pfopma wrote:But in 30 plus years of going to Buffett concerts the odds for getting great seats are slim to none and have gotten increasingly worse over the past 10 years.
But (here's the caveat) ..... I have always purchased at a retail TM outlet the moment they went on sale, i.e. 1st in line at a retail outlet that has a ticket puller on the up-and-up that knows their stuff. Retail TM sales are a direct link always in to the ticket database .... sales are never in a queue.
If you wanted to amend your statement to read
"..... the odds for getting great seats are slim to none and have gotten increasingly worse over the past 10 years when attempting to be be purchased online or via telephone where I am competing with tens of thousands of people and my order is lining up in a queue"
..... then I would agree, its getting harder and harder. The odds of getting great seats via online/telephone sales are indeed very, very slim.

Re: Camden Pits
more a question of if he cares. some acts (and I am not saying Buffett is one) have an arrangement with the venue and ticket-sellers for a cut of the new sale price.Gypsie Girl wrote:In the other thread, there is talk of making the media aware.

I am sorry, but if you offer a ticket for sale, and someone purchases it at that price, you don't get to pull it back because you could sell it for more tomorrow. I can't do that in the shop without repercussions.

I disagree with the last statement. I've known people who have been able to score great seats for Buffett shows. It's just timing.pfopma wrote:I got a 2nd row Pit seat in Camden several years ago. If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Re: Camden Pits
This really sucks.....even worse than Ticketmaster selling tickets that didnt exist, is the fact that they tried to sneak one by you be substituting different seats.
Re: Camden Pits
I'm not sure what the heck is going on with TicketMistaka, but I got a cancelled notice for my P5 tickets for 6/20, but I just pulled and ordered P7 tickets. I am going to call these nut jobs at lunch and hopefully get an answer. This is totally BS and NOWAY to operate a business.

heh, yeah, thats going to be part of my battle, I **called** to get the P5 tickets because I was on vacation and my laptop battery died and I left the cable at home, my iPhone wouldn't show the confirmation phrase, so I called, confirmed with the guy on the phone the same tickets were available I had held, and even that these were definately pit (FRONT, CENTER). Now, the P7s I got online and did ticketsfast, but not available to print yet.Tropic_Al wrote: You picking those on the website or by calling? We had p5 that were cancelled....
