Just be happy that Disney is willing to sell you tickets directly, and not go through TicketMaster.

I have been to WDW more times than I can remember...30+. Do yourself a favor and go to
www.mousesavers.com and sign up for their newsletter. The beginning of the month is when they send it out, so sign up soon. In their newsletter there is a link to one of the ticket brokers. They give a better price for using the link, so be sure to use it. The more days you buy, the cheaper it is. Are you doing water parks? That is more money. Do you plan to park hop? If so, that is about $50 additional PER ticket. If you add the non-expiring feature, that is anywhere from $40-$100 depending on how many days you have. We get a 10 day park ticket with water park and non-expiring. We usually spend a whole day at each park, so we don't get the hopper. We can get about 2-3 trips out of our tickets, depending on how long our stay is. Nothing is cheap at WDW. Counter service food is roughly $10 pp. A bottle of coke or water is $2.50. If you need more info, just ask!!

We bought X days and we got some free days at the hotel.
They now have buy X days and get free meal plan.
But you have to ask for the specials.
We did the same package....... buy 4 get three nights free and that is with the hotel and passes. We also baught the dining plan which is worth each and every single penny!! We had some great dinners!!
When you break down the per day cost of the Disney passes, especially if you stay for a week it is cheaper than going to 6 flags or other amusement parks that have so many things that they charge extra for. It really is not a bad deal, especially when you have 4 parks to choose from. Without the carnival games that the kids always want to play all day that cost you more money.
The free dining plan is for travel from August 16th through October 3rd. The dining plan is such a good deal. My husband and I had some darned good food there, and each night our bill was over $70, just for dinner. The dining plan really is worth it.
There is also a special out now for 35% off room rates for travel until Aug 16th, then the free dining sale kicks in.

be careful in purchasing tickets in bulk like that though.... if you want to book one of the Disney sale packages, for example, the free dining package it must be purchased with park tickets. You can not just book the room with the free dining, and everyone in the room must purchase the same ticket package. I guess it depends on how often you go, and where you stay.... but if you want a sale package, it has to be purchased as a package with tickets, it can not be pieced together.

Here's another good website to pick up hints, the latest news and activities in the park, etc.
http://www.miceage.com
BTW, you can extend your time in the park by staying at either a Disney hotel or the Hilton at Lake Buena Vista/Disney Marketplace. You get up to 3 extra hours in a park (different parks on different days of the week).
I recommend staying either on property or at the 6 or 7 chain hotels at Disney Marketplace, because it's no more than a 15 minute drive back to your hotel to rest, jump in the pool, or even eat a sandwich in the room. That works well for us, because our son can rest for a few hours during the busiest time in the park. Works well with a park hopper, because you can do one park in the morning and one park in the evening. (If you visit each park more than once, you don't feel bad about skipping the 2 hour line at a popular attraction because you can make it a priority or use a Fast Pass when you re-visit later in the week.)

I am guessing at the prices that you also are getting the park hopper passes and not single park passes. That makes a difference at Disney. Then there is what someone else said, because they can. you could say, hey I'll go to the other Disney World down the street, but oh yeah, there isnt one and they know it. Go have a drink at Jelly rolls after a long day in the parks and you'll feel better
