Whale Wars

Post by UpstateNYPH »

Have any of you watched this show before?

I am all for the saving of whales, but these guys are extreme. And the captain is a little off his rocker.

New season tonight at 9pm on Animal Planet

I saw the an episode or part of an episode. I view them as no different than the Somali pirates. I think it is crazy how they are willing to risk their lives for their cause. Of course if any of them did die, I am sure they would be blaming the fishing boats.

Never even heard of it, but from the name and description I'm guessing it's about Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd? He was always passionate about his cause, but then he truly went off the deep end. :-? I truly do understand the passion but I do not approve of his methods.

While he is very passionate about his cause, I think some of his crew thought they were on a whale watching tour. The telling moment for me was when he wanted two of his crew to board the enemy fishing boat and could only round up one "committed" person until some cult like tactics had to be used.

I love Bullet with Butterfly Wings. That's one good thing I can say about the show.

Kat yes it's the Sea Shepherd group and the vessel they are on is the Steve Irwin. I knew you'd appreciate that.
