Do you unpack?

When you are traveling, do you unpack your suitcase in your hotel room?
Do you take your clothes out of our suitcase and put them in the drawers?
Does it matter how long you will be staying in that room?
Overnight or at least a week??

If it's more than one night, yes. Unless it's a Buffett trip and I'm sharing the room, and it's just for two nights. Then I don't bother.

I almost always unpack no matter how long the trip is--part of the reason is that I tend to put my toiletries in the area at the very bottom, in the odd space where the handle extensions go.

I unpack all the hanging stuff as soon as I get to the hotel!
and, I usuall hang all shirts, even tshirts...
pants & shorts, I get out, and either put them in the drawer, or stacked on top of something...
the rest, I leave in the suitcase.

Nope - I live out of the suitcase for the duration.
But heck, often times I don't even unpack the suitcase between trips, except for essential laundry. Especially during the winter when my destinations are warm and home wardrobe is geared to cold.

The only time I unpacked was when a friend and I took Mongo to school in Orlando. We stayed in Orlando a week. So we unpacked our bags and used them as laundry baskets. Made taking our clothes to the laundry that much easier.

I only unpack the stuff that needs to hang up and my toiletry bag.

Two nights or more, yes. Otherwise, no.

Nope- not even the hanging stuff since I'll have to iron it anyway. Better to leave it in the bag than walk out of the room and forget it.

When staying 3 days or more yes. When traveling in the tropics and staying in a "buggy" place, never.

This is what I do, too.

I hate packing, so if I take it all out of the suitcase (where I know where everything is), I don't have to repack it all in order to go home.

I feel the exact same way
I unpack my toiletries and hanging clothes, but everything else stays in the suitcase.
So does the rest of our family---we all live out of our suitcases.

I would go with the two nights or more on this too, it really depends on how much stuff I brught and the nature of the trip, business trips I almost always will unpack to make sure I didnt forget anything and to keep everything neat.
