Out of the teeming massess of humanity horrified by the rebranding of Dolphins Stadium your champion has finally risen, South Florida.
And he is one angry man.
Miami Gardens resident Lionel Lightbourne has been a Dolphins fan since he was one year old. One! He even wrote a theme song! And now that Jimmy Buffett's re-tailored song "Fins" threatens to challenge the already uninspiring fight song "Miami Dolphins No. 1" for airtime at Land Shark Stadium, he is not going to take the disrespect lying down.
"A good song should not be determined by the person's name but by how good the music is," Lightbourne told Miami New Times. "I felt unappreciated. So I'm calling Buffett out."

..., 14:58, 14:59, 15:00.
Time's up, Lionel.
Nice knowing you.
(Not that I particularly like Jimmy's version...)

Not that I'm a rap fan anyway, but that song made my ears bleed.
Must have taken them all of 10 minutes to write that.

We do not like the rap song. Didn't like it before. Still don't like it. Truthfully our opinion has nothing to do with JB being involved in this. We just never liked the song. But trying to be fair and judge each song for it's content. Yes, we fell JB's song is the better one.

I personally don't like that rap song at all, it wouldn't matter to me what you were putting up against. I would rather listen to nothing than that song. Not a huge fan of Jimmy's new version but I'm sorry..Jimmy wins

Where does that rapper dude get off? He claims to be speaking for all. He definitely is not speaking for me. Apparently he is not speaking for many people in here or elsewhere either!
He is definitely seeking publicity. If he can successfully take on JB, that will give him publicity. My opinion is flush the rap crap.
Keep the original song if nothing else. JB only has what, a One year lease on the franchise? What happens then?
Why replace the traditional song for only one season?
