"T" swings ..... and MISSES!
The incredible momentum of the missed punch carries him out of the arena and he flies all the way to the South Pole (North Pole?) where the snowman and the penguins anxiously await his arrival.
When Beethoven passed away, he was buried in a churchyard. A couple days later, the town drunk was walking through the cemetery and heard some strange noise coming from the area where Beethoven was buried. Terrified, the drunk ran and got the priest to come and listen to it. The priest bent close to the grave and heard some faint, unrecognizable music coming from the grave. Frightened, the priest ran and got the town magistrate. When the magistrate arrived, he bent his ear to the grave, listened for a moment, and said,
"Ah, yes, that's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, being played backwards."
He listened a while longer, and said, "There's the Eighth Symphony, and it's backwards, too. Most puzzling."
So the magistrate kept listening; "There's the Seventh... the Sixth... the Fifth..."
Suddenly the realization of what was happening dawned on the magistrate; he stood up and announced to the crowd that had gathered in the cemetery,
"My fellow citizens, there's nothing to worry about. It's just Beethoven decomposing."
Was going to do a "change all" ..... Beethoven=>Michael Jackson
Ninth Symphony=>Thriller
Eighth Symphony=>Billy Jean
but figured we'd better wait a few centuries before we are allowed to tell that joke.
Seriously ... in several decades (hopefully) .... when my time comes ... smile, mourn, and please find a forum and make a few jokes ... even a few at my expense.
You have my permission, even in my official "Sail On" thread.
FYI. Huge Michael Jackson fan.
Tremendous amount of respect and awe of his musical and performance talent.
Saddened by his unexpected passing and sympathy for his family, friends and fans.
I really appreciated your comment, 'Bits, hoping that he "finally found the peace that escaped {him} in this life." Well said.

Nah .... we did that back in January during the CCHS Boobies "Endless High School Football Championships".
I won't do that again. I'll probably come up with something even more stupid.

Right. Maybe some radical parrotheads can take over the broadcast signal ala Running Man.
I suppose I did conveniently ignore the fact that "Sam the Snowman" (Burl Ives) lives at the North Pole with Santa and Rudolph and penguins reside at the South Pole. I just always liked the way he shuddered when narrating the story of "Bumble the Snow Monster".
I just like poking fun at penguins in my BN Critters World. Plum lovin' ornithological freaks that they are. Plus we had a penguin theme going this week.

And Bill? He's just bein' Bill.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind one and all that the former president and I are not the same person (and also boost my post count).
I am "Bicycle Bill", not "Slick Willie". -"BB"-
