By default, most systems have their standard output set to the console, where text messages are shown, although this can generally be redirected.
Because cout is an object of class ostream, we can write characters to it either as formatted data using for example the insertion operator (ostream::operator<<) or as unformatted data using the write member function, among others (see ostream).

The person who has less parts all the time.
The person who lives in Florida, has a great looking girl, and still complains.

...........it's sooooooooo annoying!
Does this happen to anyone else?
Is there a word count limit to PM's?
Or do you think it could be because someone in this house upgraded to internet explorer 8.0 or some such nonsense![]()

Thanks for any input, M
YES YES YES mine was doing that...and I thought it was because I upgraded to IE8...so I called tds and he said noooo. that couldn't be it.
but he certainly did mention the fact that I probably need more RAM...
I had been warned about removing ie8 but he said no biggie..and walked me through it...no biggie...just went back to IE7...haven't had any issues since then.
didn't that thing drive you nutz...well for me nuttier...gotta see my it guy...get some more RAM

Oh yeah GOOD LUCK!

Re: Lenght of a PM
Thanks so much Moonie, yes it makes me nauseous (damb where's spell check on this thing)
This may be just the excuse I need to stop writing novellas to certain people that don't even read them anyway
We'll see how long I can put up with it, and if anyone else in the family experiences the same type of problem, then make a decision on what to do
In the mean-time I'll use Erin's idea.
Thanks to everyone that has helped, and to those that just used my thread for entertainment, I hope you had fun
