GW Live Nation Survey - if you get it PLEASE respond!

Post by ScarletB »

I got an email today asking me for feedback on my recent Comcast Center experience.
There was space to give written feedback and I want to urge everyone who was part of the parking fiasco to respond. You have to answer a lot of other boring questions but here's our chance to have someone actually see how many people they affected with their stupidity. It even asks whether the staff was courteous.

I can try to forward it if you PM me with an email address. But if you bought your ticket through them you should be getting one.

I got it after the Aerosmith show and that wasn't that bad of an experience.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

What was the "parking fiasco"? We always opt for premier parking (and were the first ones in the lot this year and last) and actually got out pretty quickly this year. They used to stop traffic and let the premier parking out first, but not anymore.

Just curious. . .

On Thursday those of us who got there just as the lot opened (lots of clubs included) were shunted to Lot 13, as far away as you can get. It ended up being OK as when we walked the other lots there was pretty much nothing going on and our lot was rocking, AND got a visit from Nadirah, Doyle and Uncle Jim.
On Saturday, same thing only this time we had about 15 cars, all with tags showing we were together, got there early, pushed to Lot 13 but halfway through our group they started putting people in Lot 12. When we complained they said "Traffic is backing up we have to open that lot" Which made NO sense because there were already cars in that lot but they had closed it and were still sending people to Lot 13. The folks going to 13 were at a standstill so we just opened our trunks and started unloading our stuff by the BNers already in 12. They were p*ssed but there was nothing they could do. For 2 hours they didn't put ANYONE ELSE in Lot 12 but kept trying to load Lot 13. We took up 4 spaces behind the cars parked there, so again, it turned out OK but was really a pain to drag our stuff back to our cars.

idiots. Plus Lot 13 only had one port o potty. Clearly they want to extract $40 per car for people who want to party together, not bloody likely.

Well that is just silly. Part of the problem is that they have 12 year old kids (or so it seems!) directing traffic in the lots. We were lined up on the shoulder of the road at 10:55am and they STILL wouldn't open the gates. You think after 20+ years and 50+ shows for Jimmy, that they'd have a plan, but no. . . .

I talked to a couple of the parking kids as I was waiting to leave. They told me they were even amazed that they sent us all the way to the back as well and could not figure out why the desision was made to change parking lot from the usual one that early arrivals get.

I got caught in the Lot 13 disaster on Saturday with the Mass and RI clubs. It was a mess and by the time the lot was loaded it was pretty clear that no one was going to leave soon. Getting out was worse that getting in.

Asked one of the management types about the opening time. They said it's because the police weren't scheduled to start work until 11. Seems like they might want to make that a 10:30 start, but that's just me.
