Friday or Monday Off for Holiday?

I leave work at 12:30 Thursday and will be back on Monday !!

Our office is closed Friday, but I could come in and work if I wanted to use my holiday on Monday.

Having Friday off makes sense, tho. You have one day off before the holiday and one after. That should work better for those traveling.

Since I work for a financial service company which is owned by a bank, we are open on Friday. We follow the schedule of the Federal Reserve (due to the financial transactions that need to occur) which is....if the holiday is on a Saturday, the Fed is open on Friday but if the holiday is on a Sunday, the Fed closes on Monday......

The libraries are closed on Friday. Some city agencies are also closed.

hmmmm....neither! I had last weekend off so I'm working all weekend!

I get Saturday off.....which means I will two days off in a row.....that rarely happens, so it's a good thing!

I am anticipating sitting by my friend's pool and doing a lot of nothing.

I don't get either Fri. or Mon. off. We won't deliver mail on Saturday, so I'll get a two day weekend, which works for me since I'm scheduled six days a week and rarely have a two day weekend.

My shift ends at 6:00 AM Saturday morning (the 4th), and I'll be off until 6:00 PM Tuesay (7th).
The holiday had nothing to do with that-it's just how the schedule rotation worked out this year. Pretty much worked out in my favor, but I'm generally not picky about what days off I get, as long as I get them.

Working 12 hours Friday, 6 on Saturday, then off 'til Wednesday 7 am. Thank goodness for vacation time.
