At the end of the first set Jimmy walked right by us on his way off stage.
I think he may have thrown a wrist band to the little girl next to us.
I yelled to him "SURF CITY !!!" and he game me a thumbs up.

Then during Fins...

Folks,

My apologies for not making my way to the BN camp - and it didn't help that I left the cell phone listed printed out, but on my desk at home. Based on the photo, we were not far from you.

But we got what may forever be the best location we'll ever find at a Camden tailgate. After about 20 minutes sitting still in a line of cars in the River Shark Stadium lot, we were told that we had to wait until the police cleared available spots in the lot that were taken up by people's tents. (As you might guess, it was not pretty.)

Then, somehow - and I'm not saying how - the gate to an adjacent lot opened up and we made a bee line for the outer edge.

The result? We parked at the edge of the river and set up our canopy on the walkway that runs down the river's edge!

OK, we lost a frisbee to the water (my fault), but the food was good (a simple menu of burgers, brats and dogs) and, I seem to recall, a few different flavors of beer, made for a delightful afternoon with minimal rain interuptions.

Our group was me, my two sons (16 and 21) and one son's college friend. A boys' day tailgating at Buffett. And Father's day eve to boot. (The 16 year old volunteered to be the Designated Driver. Dang, I love that kid!)

In review: Best Buffett Concert? Probably not, but worth it nonetheless.

Best Tailgate? Absolutely!!

What a great Father's Day weekend. I could have spent it with a better group of people. There's something about being around that many people that enjoy the same pleasures in life that gives me a smile.

Thanks so much Mary Kay and Blackjack, the food and comraderie was everything I've come to expect I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes but I'm sure you two put alot of effort into it for weeks ahead of time and it is truly appreciated.

so I am at work and I'm listening to "He went to Paris" on my ipod and the guy in the cube next to me just opened a soda....I hope for his sake it was a soda, but it certainly sounded like a Coors Light to me....or maybe it was Miller Light.....Is there something wrong with me that I flashed back to Saturday when I heard the pppsssssssttttsnap!!!!! the can make when it opened????
