That would be Blue Lizard that does not stain clothes orange. From what I've found so far.

All the rest do. Bullfrog, for one, as well as Coppertone.

It's the active ingredient Avobenzone. From what I've read the companies actually know this.

I just found this out today. My work shirts are all orange. I don't actually care but started thinking about what if I'm out in nice clothes and....

I'm almost 110% sure. But I KNOW that someone who is adamant about U.S. products to the point of lecturing people they don't know about buying U.S. products certainly wouldn't pimp a non U.S. produced product.

I've used Banana Boat Sport Performance Continuous Clear Spray, and it didn't stain my clothes...

I've never heard of sunscreen turning clothes orange. Some self tanners, yes.
I use Coppertone Sport spray on, just today in fact and it does not turn my clothes orange or any color for that matter.

Thanks for the info. We sprayed our grandkeets yesterday at the 4th of July parade and their red, white and blue clothes turned out red, orange and white. We had a full day of parties and swimming ahead of us and my daughter and son-in-law were MORTIFIED that it looked like they'd dressed their kids in old, stained clothes. Will be on the look out for Blue Lizard! :wench:

I live at the beach, surf and go to the beach at least 5 times a week, use spray on sunscreen and have never seen it turn anything orange.

I wonder if it's certain products reacting to certain skin types? I've used Coppertone Sport spray and can't say that I've ever stained my clothes orange...if it did it must have come out in the wash. I do know that lotions with the self tanner stuff in it will stain your clothes if you work up a sweat. I do like the convenience of the spray sunscreen but the lotions are definitely more cost effective. I keep both the sunscreen and OFF in my backpack when I'm birding and taking photos. Let me tell you, the combo of scents is quite interesting. :o

I've never seen Blue Lizard in the stores...is it sold more at sporting goods type stores?

Hey BEG, it is made in the United States by Crown Labs/Del-Ray Dermatologicals which is in Johnson City, TN: http://www.crownlaboratories.com/blueli ... ntact.html

Glad to see you checked it out before you ran your mouth, er, fingers.

Read this too: http://www.blogher.com/top-10-reasons-w ... creen-best

For you saying that is like that salsa that's made in New York but has some Texas name or whatever it is. Or Kentwood water - water from Kentwood, LA but it's bottled in Atlanta, GA.

The staining clothes orange seems to have something to do with the water in the washing machine, etc...high or low iron, something like that.

Supposedly it's the Avobenzone from what I've read from various blogs from people talking about this. However, I've never had problems with the lotion screen that has Avobenzone in it.

I have used Bullfrog regulary and never had such a problem.

BEG,
I don't know if you want to buy online, I did a simple search and found numerous sites where it is sold online.
Here are a couple that I found:
http://www.coolibar.com/sunscreen-blue-lizard.html

http://www.drugstore.com/search/search_ ... 0sunscreen

I hope this helps you out. No doubt you can search for others, or maybe ask the manager at various local stores or any beach, dive, surf shops if they can get it?

Good luck!

Walgreens

Australian Gold SPR15 spray Gel....used to have to order it from down under. best stuff around...well, that is, not if you need real sun blocker.

Guess that bear oil my ancestors used must have carried over to present day.

Maybe you had two thoughts bouncing around in that noggin of yours, but you mention BEG then seemingly BASH her in the same breath when she said nothing bad about you by "running her fingers". If anything, it was PH4ever, that was coming after you.
