Late word from OU is that Bradford will not need surgery, and will be out about a month.
Hopefully he's back in time to kick some Bevo tail.

Anybody watching this FSU/Miami game? I'm very impressed with both teams. Lots of speed and pretty polished for the first game of the season.

Re: 2009 NCAA Football

Lane Kiffin gets his first victory as head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers with a drubbing of Western Kentucky 63-7...most points scored by the Vols in a game since 2000! There is a renewed excitement on Rocky Top and we are ready for the surfer boy Bruins to come to town on Saturday!

Great game. Especially if you like passing.
Very poor clock management by the Noles at the end but despite losing I feel good about the Noles this year.
Ponder looks good for the Noles and Harris looks good for the Canes

It was a really good game. I was quite impressed on both sides of the ball.Bob Roberts wrote:Anybody watching this FSU/Miami game? I'm very impressed with both teams. Lots of speed and pretty polished for the first game of the season.
Is Bobby Bowden really just a figurehead coach for FSU? It looked like Jimbo Fisher was calling a lot of the shots on the sidelines down there.

Re: 2009 NCAA Football
After the season opener I have to say I was very happy with the effort put forth by the University of Washington.
I fully expected a huge blowout by LSU. Something along the lines of 60 to 10. But the Dawgs actually beat the damn spread.
Maybe this season won't be so bad after all.

Bestseller- I couldn't agree more! I wouldn't be heartbroken if something put mccoy on the sidelines for the tanksgiving game and sb wasn't 100 percent for our game against ou.
Nothing serious- just enough to keep him from starting. We need all the help we can get this year!

Re: 2009 NCAA Football
The secondary was pretty horrid for both the Canes and Noles. They both have fast and athletic kids, but lack experience and discipline. Shannon continues bad clock management and burns through timeouts and unnecessary situations. Bowden grows increasingly senile with each passing year and I'm not sure he ever has a clue what's going on in the game. Jimbo isn't a huge step up from Jeff when most of the Noles offensive play calling consists of screen passes and jump balls.

It's tough at times, but then I just look at the crystal stacking up in the trophy case, then back down to the poor Vols who've been relegated to hitching their wagon to Kiffin's falling star.Bob Roberts wrote:I'm sorry.tattedgator wrote:Born, raised, and still reside in The Swamp![]()

Re: 2009 NCAA Football
If Landry Jones is still starting b'time OU plays A&M, don't count on that being too much of a break for the Aggies. He's gonna be a good one, given half a chance.txaggirl91 wrote:Bestseller- I couldn't agree more! Shannon's clock management was great compared to the Noles inside the final minute.tattedgator wrote:The secondary was pretty horrid for both the Canes and Noles. I thought the Noles offense looked pretty good. Ponder certainly looks better.
In the end he did put the ball where it needed to be but the receiver dropped it.
The pass defense is another story, you're right.
I don't think that Bobby is senile. He seems fine to me in interviews but I do hope he hangs it up soon.
I would not be suprized if the Noles beat BYU in a few weeks or if the Canes beat OU, even with Sam Bradford.
