Again, I'll give UT credit, they played a hell of a game and they likely have a bright future (post-Crompton, of course). They'll miss Berry, he's a unique player with a lot of talent. He'll be playing on Sunday's next year, no doubt.

No idea how much of an impact it had on the game, but Spikes injured his achilles and our top 2 playmakers on offense (outside of Tebow), TE Hernendez and RB Demps were playing with high fevers. Also, Deonte Thompson, our #2 (maybe #1) WR didn't dress due to injury. Not really having those 3 hurt our offense a lot. Overall, I hope the lackluster performance doesn't carry over into games to come. One thing the weekend showed us, no one is a completely dominant team. Not having a real physical, dominant threat at WR could really hurt us down the road.

It was not the 70 point waxing that Gator fans thought it would be but in the end a win is a win. I saw where Tebow hit/owned Berry. The Gators wanted to "work 'em silly" but were just not capable of doing it and it had to be upsetting to the fans there. Tennessee came to play. I had to work so I was listening on the radio and did I hear the Florida band playing the Superman theme?

There have been a lot of exciting games so far.

I still love Pete...and he takes full responsibility for this loss, as well he should. And as for Corp blaming the coaches for not knowing he was going to start until game time, that's total BS. There was no way Barkley was going to start, so if he was unprepared it's his own damb fault. He s.u.c.k.s.....plain and simple. And the last team Pete should have let his guard down with would be UW...sheeesh.

Ah well....it's a bummer...but it is only a game...world peace doesn't depend on it. It's not the first time my team's disappointed me in 40+ years, and it won't be the last. And I do love those dawgs. (When I was toying with the idea of going back for another degree a few years ago, UW was my top choice. Kinda wish I'd done it....).

Pete is definitely one of the good guys in the game. He sure looks like he could use a Tums! (or mebbee a hug?)

This Saturday was awesome. At basically the same time you had the Huskies taking down U$C, Va Tech rallying in the last seconds against the Huskers, another MAC school (Northern Illini) taking down a Big Ten'er (Purdue), Nike Ducks dropping the Utah Utes, Cal Golden Bears getting 5 TD's from J. Best to hold off the Golden Gophers of Minny Sota and Notre Dame & Moo U (Michigan State) going back & forth....& back & forth....& back & forth. Then for some nighttime spice, Free Shoes U destroyed BYU & put their National Title hopes on the wayyyy back burner! Auburn climbing out from a big hole (a big wattery hole) earlry & going back & forth with West Virginia before putting them away, Georgia & R Kansas also overcoming stormy weather to put on an explosion of points before the Dawgs put the Hogs to bed, Longhorns holding off "The Pirate Lover", Mike Leach's Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Syracuse Orangeman dumping the Cats from Northwestern on another last second field goal. Whew! Luv it....Luv it....Luv it.

Instead of speculating about "moral" victories, here are the FACTS!

1 - The Gators have beaten the Vols five years in a row!
2 - The Gators are 3-0. The Vols are 1-2.
3 - Tim Tebow will graduate from UF without ever losing to Tenn. Peyton Manning graduated without ever beating UF.
4 - Eric Berry has never beaten UF.

If moral victories actually counted as victories, the Vols would be the National Champs I guess. Instead of considering it a moral victory, I would be livid with Lane Kiffin's ineptness to call an offense. Being down 10 with less than five minutes left and he continues to call running plays and not use timeouts. It's a good thing that his father can coach. It's a shame for the Vols that they have a lot of talent that Fulmer helped bring to Tenn, yet they hired a complete tool for a head coach.

nice win for UCONN at Baylor....I just hope that North Carolina loss doesn't haunt us!!!...Proud of the boys to be able to put that devastating loss behind them!!

Janice, when I was in grad school we had one of those cricket invasions too. They were EVERYWHERE, including our clinic where we did therapy. They had to bring in those industrial sized shop vacs to s*** them up before we could see clients. I was at a baseball game and they were landing on people, crawling in their food, into purses, covering the bathroom floor etc. People were randomly whacking strangers to get the crickets off them. And these were ginormous crickets, not our usual ones. I finally gave up on the game and went and sat in my car. And folks wonder why I hate the buggers....blech!

Feesh, your ignorance of the game of football is really showing. Considering the talent level Kiffin inherited, his playcalling to keep us in the game yesterday was tremendous! Crompton is terrible....absolutely terrible. Why on earth would we have thrown the ball while Florida defenders sat back in coverage licking their chops? Kiffin managed to use him as little as he had to and keep us in the game. I know you'd love to badmouth Kiffin's offensive playcalling, trying to distract attention from the fact that your boys put 8 in the box the whole game and still couldn't stop our running game. How about our very thin offensive line and running game wearing down your defense in the 4th quarter? Wanna talk about that? Sure, you won. Sure, you may win another national title. But you know what?......Tebow won't be here next year. Brandon Spikes won't be here next year. Bryce Bown will be. Janzen Jackson will be. Eric Berry might. The future under Lane Kiffin looks very bright! I also would like to thank the Florida coaching staff for bringing in so many recruits to watch the game. They're not stupid. They can see what the future holds. Oh the times, they are a changing! We'll just let Eddie Gran continue to cherry-pick talent out of Florida as we prepare for the future of BIG ORANGE FOOTBALL! All true and we'll see how things go next year. But I will tell you this Urban Meyer is as much of a tool as Lane Kiffin.

it was that bad.... the dive bombing grasshoppers were the icing on the cake!

For the second week in a row the Irish get a TD taken away by an instant replay call.
But this time they hung on to win despite losing their star reciever to a broken collar bone.
