True, the SEC Championship Game was never really in doubt since Alabama first scored.
This is the first time that I ever rooted against the Gators (except when playing FSU or Miami).
Sports radio in my area should be fun this week

Congrats to Bama. They played lights out. The Gators never showed up in ATL. Especially the defense. No intensity, no emotion. They didn't want it, didn't look like they gave a damn. I have to question our defensive schemes, which have been great all year. Has Strong mentally checked out or did Saban's OC just scheme us that well? 3rd and 3 and our DB's would be 10 yards off the LoS. We had Major Wright, a safety, covering a couple times.
The game looked hopefully from the beginning. We had hope when we pulled it 12-10, but I knew the game was over as soon as they answered our TD with one of their own. The whiney part of me will not that Bama got away with some huge penalties when it counted....pass interference (tackling the WR is interference, right?)...Spikes was running in place with his jersey being held on a big play, Black gets blocked in the back on Ingram's 70 yard screen pass. Still, it should never come down to, "if this" or "if that".
I love Tebow, he's been great. Our Senior class is amazing and gave us 2 national titles. But God bless Tebow, the guy just can't find an open receiver or read a defense. We've had WR's running open all year long and Tebow doesn't see them. Also have to question our offensive play calling. Rainey runs the dive for 8 yards and then we only try it once more. Demps runs a sweep for 9 yards and then we never do it again. We only ran the option a handful of times, with moderate success. WTF were we doing? Just poor game planning all around. Outcoached. Outplayed.
Congrats Bama.

been this way ever since the AR-FL game. FL looked good on paper, had moments of brilliance, but they weren't the team the BCS rankings said they were. But Tebow will end up in Tampa or somewhere equally-crappy barring a trade for one of those 1-15 squads to get a rebuild effort underway.

Wow! The Big 12 game came down to the last play.
I'm not so convinced Texas is better than Cincinnati or TCU anymore.
Cincinnati has beaten more ranked teams than both. Looks like another Bull Sh!t Championship year.

Texas and TCU are the two most over ranked teams right now...
texas looked like crap the last two games... they should not play for the championship at all...
tcu - i don't think their schedule is strong enough for a championship bid....

Mostly speculation isn't it? The pairings haven't been announced.
The BCS Title and the Rose Bowls are a lock but the rest could
be a different line up.
Although I think this is the way it will pan out.

It's not as if they lost on the last play of the game.

I know. Can't say I blame them, they played in a 15,000 seat stadium (maybe a little less, I'm not sure) and average attendance was under 5,000. And I just read in today's paper that they sold less than 200 season tickets. Too bad, Hofsrta sent a handful of decent players, and the Tampa Bay Bucs head coach, to the NFL and it was the only school that tried to recruit me coming out of high school. If you can call getting 1 letter from the head coach being recruited.

couple of thoughts..
I figured that TCA and Boise would face teams that would just crush
them and shut the "non BCS" talk down..
by having them play each other am I the only one who is
flashing back to the scene in Animal House that the misfits
are all herded to the same couch at the Frat party?

Nice call ragtop! The sad thing is we saw this game last year, a game in which TCU dominated statistically but had to hold on scoreboard wise. I was hoping after we saw Utah humble Bama last year that either Boise or TCU would get a game vs. a big name "BCS" conference team so we can shut up the "do they deserve it" chatter.
Now all we'll get afterward is the proverbial "they (Fiesta winner) didn't prove anything" talk.

Rings true but the one thing they can't take away from either team is the fact that this may be the best
game of the post season.

At least I see the potential.
