Johnny Depp revealed that he wants to bring the troubled King of Pop to the big screen. According to reports, the famous Jack Sparrow of blockbuster series "Pirates of the Caribbean" is hoping that he could play Michael Jackson in a movie about the singer's life.

You're going to need at least three actors to play Michael — Michael as a child with the Jackson 5; as a young man during the 1970s and 80s; and as the surgical specimen from the later years. My question is this:

For the 'later years' Michael, do you cast a black actor (and depend on makeup and special effects); do you cast a white actor (ditto makeup and SFX); or do you create a CG character (like Jar-Jar Binks from Star Wars Episode 1) and alter the character as necessary to look like whatever you need?

I was talking to a BN'er on the phone this morning who said "OMG Johnny Depp is darker than Michael Jackson". I think in this day and age with the advancements of makeup that you would cast who could perform the part the best and let the make up people work their magic.

This is NOT a political discussion about Clinton or Bush.

Maybe one of Jackson's 'own' kids could play him as a youngster.

According to Joe Jackson they are quite talented. So talented in fact that Joe Jackson wants to put them on stage next year and do a world tour with the kids billed as 'The Jackson Three'.
