I was in a business discussion last week and just in a general up date session about future improvements for jobs opportunities, impacts on the economy, it was mentioned that construction would begin on the Buffett project within thirty days. This information came from a Banker, there were no follow up questions, I just took it as good news. Nothing in writing at this point, just passing along the latest rumor for those that are interested.

Any chance this could be a WB project and not a JB project, though Biloxi would be fitting.

We hope good news! We were just talking about the casino project yesterday. We'll be in Biloxi next weekend for the Delbert McClinton show at Hard Rock.

Yay! That's if another hurricane doesn't blow it away the day before opening like Katrina did with the Hard Rock.

You can can see by those great pictures what a mixed message this construction site sends; on the one hand it is Jimmy Buffett, Paradise is coming, light hearted/happy, and then on the other, a deserted uncared for concrete jungle, going nowhere. Kinda of a capsule of where our Country has been, hopefully both are on the upswing, only time will tell.

Let's just hope if another one does hit it does not have a 28-30 foot storm surge like Katrina did in Biloxi.
