Funny, I said the same thing. The one positive thing I said was it wasn't as bad as Glory Days.
I think I'll take my shoes off and go walking
Down beside the Carribean Sea
I like the funny sounds of parrots squawking
I think I hear a hammock calling me

Don't like it either - would much rather, and always, hear one of Jimmy's own. ![battingeyes [smilie=battingeyes.gif]](./images/smilies/battingeyes.gif)

I'm on the bandwagon of positive reviews of this song live. When they broke it out at Tampa, with that bigass video screen back there ... Jimmy was having SO much fun playing it that I would have enjoyed the spectacle had it been Happy Birthday to You.
Guess .... You Had To Be There!

Huh! Well I'll be. I wonder if it's addition to the setlist is 'my fault'?
I went way back on my facebook page looking for something else, but came across the following:
"JoAnn is listening to 'Yellow Submarine' on the radio - induced lots of fond memories and put a smile on my face!
March 10 at 8:55am"

Gotta say I think Rocky Raccoon is a nice addition. Not a big Beatles fan, but I do like that song and Jimmy's rendition has been pretty good. Plus Peter and Mac get into it pretty good.

I really wasn't looking forward to this song, but as you said seeing how much fun Jimmy and the band was having with the song made it amazing!NanaBabe wrote:I'm on the bandwagon of positive reviews of this song live. Now I know this Joe down in Mexico.
He went there to work on his tan.
For years he's been plugged into blenders and songs.
They call him the Twelve Volt Man

I haven't heard it live yet so I can't pass judgement on it. I am actually looking forward to hearing it at JB this week.

Re: Who else here hates "Yellow Submarine"?
Heard this live in AC last Sunday. I agree, it's much better in person with great video background to go along. And my being a Beatles fan doesn't hurt either.......JB was definitely having fun with the song.TwelveVoltMan wrote:I really wasn't looking forward to this song, but as you said seeing how much fun Jimmy and the band was having with the song made it amazing!NanaBabe wrote:I'm on the bandwagon of positive reviews of this song live.
