Did Jimmy Say Nov. 28 in St. Barts?

I was listening to last nights show and during the second set he was talking about time going by so fast, and I thought I heard him say, the next thing you know it will be the Nov. 28 and we will be in St. Barts. Did anyone else hear this or have a better version of what he said? Or am I Havana Day Dreaming.

It sounded like he said Nov. 8th to me.

Actually the Le Select party is the 6th, 7th and 8th. The concert is scheduled for the 7th.

i just hope if it is the 8th that there is not some poor soul who booked their trip to go home that day!

I know, can you imagine? There are a bunch of people not related to this site who are only staying the weekend. But the schedule published by the St Barts tourism office says the concert is on the 7th. He probably doesn't even know the right date himself!

Yeah, I want to know how all this works. We are going but I want to hear from someone who went last time and knows the deal. Do we sit and wait all day or is it really low key and will be easy to get into the show?
We have a boat and are sailing over from St Martin.

Can't wait!!!

10 years ago without the internet it was kind of a surprise thing. This time lots of people know about it way in advance. We're operating under the assumption it's going to be "claim your spot early"

It would seem that JB or someone from his company would help clear that up, this is not a $500 trip and his fan loyalty is important to him. I have cancelled once already, because I thought he was not playing. Right now I am still unsure, so my plans are on hold. Hopefully something firm will surface soon.

Why would his company clarify something that they had nothing to do with starting in the first place? This isn't an Anguilla situation, no tickets will be sold.
I'm sure you know St Barts is pretty small. This event is to celebrate 60 years of Le Select, not a JB concert per se, he's just part of the festivities. For him to advertise it as a tour stop would probably be seen as taking away from the point of the whole event and since the owner of Le Select is one of his oldest friends I don't know that Jimmy wants to make it about HIM. The crowds coming in for the anniversary are large enough even when Jimmy was barely a rumor and there is only so much lodging.
And things can always happen at the last minute so if you're making this trip JUST for Jimmy then you may want to think about that. While I would have been disappointed to not see him, it was never a question of not going at all.

Thanks to MacP we booked back in March and even then had a hard time finding flights over. Hopefully you kept an open reservation for that.

The point with St Bart's is that Jimmy isn't the one who said he would be there until just the other night. It was the folks at Wimco Villa rentals who posted that he'd be doing a concert during the Le Select Anniversary in Nov. and that came after the rumor mill had been grinding for a year. The rumor was based on things heard on the island not from Jimmy himself Some of us took a gamble that it looks like is going to pay off, but from the beginning we always figured it would be a great vacation anyway with or without him. But since his company never publicized it or mentioned it in any way, they are under no obligation to clear anything up. This isn't like the whole Northwest debacle when Jimmy's team put it out there and then changed their minds.

FWIW - it is posted on a SBH tourism site now so I'm thinking it's a done deal. He is just part of 3 days of music and events.
